I thought he did ok overall but his free kicks and corners were poor.

Imo he needs to make quicker decisions, when has the possession, and works more on one-touch passing.

His final ball was also a bit of a let down today, I know he can do better. Very good covering the backline though.

Once Arsenal get over their injuries and get a few more signings in, they will take points off the other top 5 teams at Emirates. We played them at a great time. It was not a vintage performance but with a bit of luck we got all 3 points. Very happy about that

Barring injuries, Enrique will get into the Spanish team for Euro 2012. He was outstanding.

If we get to play Suarez, Meireles, Gerrard, Lucas ( don't care about the formation) for most of the games their interplay will blow away most of the PL defenses and we will be in the top 4.

RedReet I don't disagree with your follow up statements.

Still think we have room to improve (massively) and Carroll is starting to dissapoint me and a lot of others.

Of course there is room to improve, but I don't think we could have asked for much more from today's performance.

Lucas and Suarez seem to be suffering a bit of a Copa hangover, so still aren’t 100%. Our best player and talisman for so many years is out injured. New signings have come in and are still finding their feet.

Considering those factors, plus the fact we were playing AWAY from home against one of the best teams in the league and never looked like losing, then I just find it hard to criticize.

There is definitely room for much improvement, but even if it had of stayed 0-0 I’d still have seen it as a decent performance.

Unreal. Carroll is class and will prove it as the season wears on. He'll make you look like a complete **** for this comment.

A different opinion to yours. **** you for the offence. I also didn't see him offer anything but one header the whole game. There was no inventiveness or anticipation. He wanted it squarely on his head. He spent half the game moaning that he was hard done to. He never threatened when he was ip against a Man Utd squad reject or against a kid making his debut. We threatened a lot more when some real wit came on.

I hope he does make me look a complete ****, but at the moment, he looks no better than if we'd have signed Nugent.

I don't think it would have mattered, at the end of the day Suarez is a completely different player to Carroll and we had to change our play when he came on to something that he is suited to. We couldn't have kept the same tactics for Suarez as we do Carroll. Its no co-incidence that our football suddenly changed, although the sending off would definitely effected the amount our players get forward etc. I do see your point, and im not focusing on Carroll because I do rate him, I just think we need to play more pass and move football with him in the team. But hopefully that will come with time.
