What's this 6 centimetres then? (Expects lots of replies of "just over 2 inches")
I've seen lots of references to it.
Anyway, there's always a need for an alternative point of view in a good discussion.

If you're being serious, then it's another forum called six crazy minutes, that a few people seem to be coming over from lately.

I am very realistic, we have serious problems domesticaly away from home, I don't think Rafa knows how deal with teamslike Bolton and the players lack confidence/attitude.

However over 2 legs, with Anfield in all it's European night glory and passion
plus the points I mentioned earlier I truly believe that we can beat anyone.
I don't think we have any chance of winning no 19 this season(although I would love to be proved wrong) but no 6 is a possibility

We did it 2 years ago with the same manager and a weaker squad, so why not now??
          Not rose tinted, realistic
I certainly dont dismiss our chance in the CL this season.

However, saying we have a chance, and suggesting we're sitting top of the tree, are two different things. You did the latter, hence the 'welder' comment

It's his opinion, i dont particularly agree with him enormously, but he's entitled to it and whilst i disagree with him, it doesnt make him a pain in the arse IMO.

Knowing dave like i do, i can assure he doesnt 'hate' LFC.

He CAN be a bit pessimistic, but what i'd also add is that his interweb persona isnt necessarily matched in real life, from what i've seen.

Having said that, i fully acknowledge that for most, the web persona is all they CAN go on. Trust me though, he's definitely a Red.
Tsk, didn't you know Syd ? I despise Liverpool football club.

When Stevie equallized in the last minute in Cardiff, I was mumbling 'lucky ****' under my breath and shaking my head while everyone around me went mental, dont you remember ?

You know that's the exact image I have of you as well, everything about how you present yourself on here suggests to me that you would display a sort of reaction like that.

However I'm sure you'd celebrate the goal instead of shaking your head.

Sorry mate, by they are, by definition, the favourites, given that they have the shortest pair of odds. They may not be YOUR favourites, but among the majority of neutrals, and among those who made a healthy living out of compiling lists of favourites and outsiders, they are indeed favourites.

So like I said originally all those teams above are favorites along with Valencia, Milan, Bayern, Arsenal - and whoever else makes the last 16.
                      I dont buy this either.

To say that ALL of the last 16 are the 'favourites' is absurd. It implies that they ALL have an equal chance of winning it, simply because they're all going to be participating at that stage of the competition. Surely that's being overly simplistic?

At FA Cup 3rd Round stage, do all the non-league and league two sides have an equal chance of winning it as us, United, Arsenal and Chelsea, just by virtue of being in the competition with us?

The best side doesnt always win, of course not. But in terms of sheer probability, the best and better sides DO have a better chance of winning a competition than some of their 'inferior' rivals, simply because they ARE better.

I don't understand Chelsea's high position on your list

Disagree with the fact you say Man U have a better first 11 than us
I would say 90% of rational football fans would strongly, strongly, disagree with these three statements.

Look mate I'm not even talking to you but just for humors sake:

Comparing it to the FA cup 3rd round is ridiculous, for reasons that don't even need explaining. Maybe comparing the situation to the quarters would be more reasonable, but even then there's still a good chance of a team being there who isn't good enough to be there.

I know who the bookies favorites are but bookies change their odds every day, means nothing to me who ladbrokes or the like have on as odds on favorites to win.

Maybe referring to last 16 as favorites was an oversight, the point I was suggesting was that they all have a decent chance of wining the comp, we don't even know what the draw is yet by the time the last 16 hits, half of them could be drawn against each other.
