He might go down easily on occassions but this has been blown out of all proportion. The nature of his game is to stay tight and then turn with pace and guile which is why he gets taken down so often.

I don't believe he needs to change to be liked. Every other club over the years has had great players that were deemed cheats and I consider the likes of Ronaldo and Nani to be miles worse than Suarez.

I think the real villians in this are the managers and players that are highlighting this. Scharner can get to **** to be honest, he couldn't handle Suarez and after giving away the pelanty is picking up the media stick to seek some revenge.

I'll give a **** when it effects Suarez's game but until then I couldn't care less if every manager, fan and pundit thinks he's a cheat/diver.

In fact, there was a journo in the Guardian (can't remember his name) who wrote an article about why he hated Klinsmann when he first arrived in England, and a few months later wrote another about why he loved him.

Suarez has the potential to be an absolute legend - at the moment in the PL there's him, Silva and Van Persie who are playing at a level above everyone else. The other two are hugely popular, even with other clubs' fans, because they generally play the game in a positive fashion, and marry huge skill with enthusiasm and professionalism. Luis needs to move in that direction too.
Klinsmann was the first truly world class player to move to England*, there was a wankfest in the media about it. Soon as he came their perception altered. It was 20 years ago though so I could be very wrong

*That's not to say there hadn't been world class players in England, it's just they didn't arrive as world class players if you know what I mean.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Luis draws fouls because of the way plays. That's not his fault, it's the players that foul him. The villification of foreigners in this country is getting out of hand.

Suarez 'does dive' and hasn't helped himself in that respect. I don't condone that type of behaviour, but it is deep seeded in the game today. And by no means should Suarez be singled out when it's so prevalent in modern football.

In saying that, he does get fouled quite alot aswell. But he has got a reputation now and he is getting punished for it in alot of cases. The one that i've noticed most is similar to what Didier Drogba has been doing for years, backing into defenders and then falling over or forcing a foul so to speak. But it is more so drawing a foul out rather than a dive as such. IMO it's smart football.

But there is no doubt Suarez is an absolute handful. He is unpredictable and unorthodox and in most cases impossible to mark. Fergie needs to zip it, as he has had top class players over the years, doing exactly the same thing or much much worse. Anyways, IMO i'd like to see Suarez cut that **** out. Regardless if he dives or not from now on in, he is going to get the living piss kicked out of him anyways, and i hope that his reputation or more so, the one the the media are choosing to highlight doesn't go against him.

He has the potential to be a LFC legend.

Has Suarez *ever* cheated a referee in a Liverpool shirt?

To me a dive is when someone throws himself to the ground with no contact whatsoever.

Then there's making a meal of stuff, which Suarez has done from time to time but to my recollection he has never, ever conned a referee since joining us.

This 'cheat' **** is getting so out of hand.

IMO he plays for fouls, more so than being a cheat. It's kind of a hard to pin down, is he diving, cheating, trying to seek to gain advantage?

I don't think he is a cheat, he draws fouls out of players, and he does dive but what is cheating exactly? Suppose it depends on where you're coming from. Suarez definitely does not do it in a horrific over the top manner or anything but he does play for fouls. Sure the best player in the modern game Lionel Messi plays for fouls, but then again he also gets the **** kicked out him aswell.

At the end of season people will look back at Luis Suarez, and this temporary stain on his reputation will be a distant memory & his talent and ability will be what most will talk about, and rightly so

Didi Hamann was a master at "winning" free kicks, no-one ever called him a diver. I don't think Suarez is any more a diver than Didi was.

Louis, obviously uses his body in such a sublimely skillful way it draws in a lot of fouls, because also he is extremely technical on the ball he gets a lot of physical attention, in many ways his over exuberance to fall to the ground is as much to do with protecting himself as it is to do with getting the decision, but overall I just thing he is a Winner and has to win and will what ever it takes to get there ... **** if half of the rest of the team played with the same fire we would be ****ing teams week in week out ... which actually we need to do now .. if we are to have any chance of getting 4th we need to play like we are going for the title ... every single game is must win

He usually gets really close to the defender, uses his body to shield the ball and spins off them, it's a nightmare for defenders and lots of physical contact.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Not sure if its been discussed, but personally I think Louie was winding Evra up about being a short arse and Evra is just being the utter cunt he has showed himself to be time and time again, I think thats why Kenny has being referring to Louie as the wee man ever since that episode .....

He isn't but Suarez moves faster and has far more agility so where as Hamann going down was a case of physicalities Suarez can go down because he moving whilst off balance. If he were straight running in a line imo he wouldn't go down but try making any physical contact with someone whos body is at a 45 degree angle at pace and they are hitting the floor.
