I don't see the relevance of this video. To call him hypocritical is clutching at straws and misses the point.
The issue here, assuming The Guardian's "negrito" report is along the right lines, is about context. Who says it, where they are, where they come from, what it means to the listener - all these elements matter.

No, I mean it's not really relevant to Evra or his credibility, nor does it make him a double standard racist. Unless, as Neil said, we're unable to see the difference between black people using n1gger in that context vs the typical racist use of the word. It might be right though to think he ought to be more aware of the fact that context changes the meaning of words.

ohhh okay......i'm obviously in need of educating on this issue.......tell me, how come society allow and even celebrate events such as "the black music awards", publications such as "Black Enterprise Magazine"......surely these are racist and should not be allowed (and widely regarded as acceptable)
