I suppose I'm also a prick because I couldn't care less about incidents like the Japanese Tsunami or the famines of Eastern Africa or the plight of Greece? People pretend to care about these incidents from far away countries like Britain, but in truth once the media stop reporting about the incident, those people soon forget about the incident and turn their attention to their own trials and tribulations like what tie to wear to work.

So, yes I might well be a complete prick, but at least I'm not a hypocrite.
I suppose we all go through a period of existentialist angst. Come back when you've grown out of it.

I have chosen not to observe a minute silence for the Munich Air Disaster, now unless I'm breaking the law here, then I feel my stance though not agreed with, should be respected.
Why would you not do that - people have lost their lives irrelevant of their allegiances. People like you are a disgrace to the club.

And i think you confuse the idea of people caring, and stopping their whole lives because of something they care about.

If I was in the ground I would remain quiet, people who disturb silences at stadiums are a disgrace and should be dealt with accordingly.

However I will not be at the stadium, I will be down the pub and I am more than likely going to go for a cigarette for that minute.

But you not adhering to it is inhibiting their right to do what they want to do. Its about tolerance and accepting whats important to another human being. Its being considerate, kind, respectful and decent. Its what makes for a nice society. If everyone was as pugnacious and irritable as you, life would be unbearable.

We all have to put up with people like you, us reasonable minded people. You spoil it for everyone.

I doubt it. you'd have to be a dick not to observe it in the ground. but how many people on here will be observing it during their normal working day or whenever it actually is. thats not being disrespectful but realistic.

I think everyone thought he meant he'd be in the ground hurling abuse. As it stands, he's not and should have made that clear at the beginning instead of continuing the tirade.

Exactly I wouldn't even know/care when it was.

                  I spoil nothing for anyone.

I have just said that when the minutes silence is observed I will remove myself from the pub to have a cigarette. I think that's me being more than a bit tolerant, more than a bit respectful. I don't have to remove myself from the establishment, but I will do out of respect.

Fair enough, I think people thought you meant not keeping a minute silence in the ground.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I never stated that you HAD to observe a minute's silence, nor that it was against the law not to.

But if you cannot just show a bit of respect for 60 seconds, then it makes you a pretty disgusting human being. Even if you dont care, what's so hard about just observing it, out of respect?

Your comments just show you up to be a very immature and under-developed creature. I hope you grow up soon.

I thought he meant while he was in the ground. If he's at home having lunch or something then no, i wouldnt expect him to suddenly stop and go silent.

I'd pop to the toilet, or I'd get a hotdog in during those sixty seconds. I'm always peckish at football matches and I always need the toilet at half time for some reason.

No idea why he wouldn't observe a minute's silence if he was aware of it.

                              Assumptions, assumptions.

Poor Luis Suarez has felt the wrath of people who make assumptions.

You posted your explanation as I was typing this...

It was a bit preachy reading back, but you get me.
