Would be a ****ing good laugh if Luis used his millions to drag this to court and get apologies/retractions from individuals and newspapers concerned.

There is still possibility that Luis can take matter now in his hands and sue Evra for the defamation of character.Originally posted by wavydavy View PostWould be a ****ing good laugh if Luis used his millions to drag this to court and get apologies/retractions from individuals and newspapers concerned.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

No way they were changing this. I'm happy the way the club acted, support our man, let the unhappiness be noted in a serious way and move on. Its a complete outrage all the same.

I don't think they(the FA) called it racial abuse, did they. They dressed it up as words relating to a person's colour liable to cause offence or some such ****.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostWhat, on the grounds that that's what the FA have found him guilty of?I have one word to offer - honesty. I can`t really see how he can do that. He has admitted to use the word. Suarez didn`t mean it to be racist but Evra felt it was. Can you really take how another person interprets you to court?Originally posted by Mostar View PostThere is still possibility that Luis can take matter now in his hands and sue Evra for the defamation of character.Blank

We've all read the findings and there have been more than enough legal people telling the rest of us where we could have appealed to blow apart the claim about Evra's credability as a witness.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWhatever we did, the FA werent going to budge, they were always going to say "He's guilty and that's that" so i fail to see what we could have done to change that.
Without the credability his word doesn't mean anymore than Luis' so the ban should have been reduced as the 8 games is based on believing Evra.
I'm not suggesting it would have been overturned of course not, I personally believe he should have received a smaller ban as the word is unacceptable but 8 games is atrocious.
Pathetically weak from the football club. It's ****ing easy for everyone to come on here oh yeah it's great, we showed the FA, yeah we really stuck it to them with the statement didn't we.
No-one will print the staement, no-one else except for lfc fans will read it and we have allowed Luis Suarez to be labelled a racist by the FA.
****ing ****, talking the talk is easy we've backed down, it's a disgrace. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

You're not getting it though - the FA are the highest UK authority in footballing matters, no amount of legal stuff would make any difference because it's a football matter. We cannot take the FA to court over it, all we can do is argue it within the footballing environment and in the footballing environment, our enemy is the same as the body which decides who's guilty and who isnt. They arent ever going to rule against themselves.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostWe've all read the findings and there have been more than enough legal people telling the rest of us where we could have appealed to blow apart the claim about Evra's credability as a witness.

It was the best that they could do imoOriginally posted by Reece View PostExcellent statement though in my opinion.
It really does put the pressure on the FA to act over erry though
Not that they will mindBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
