Evra accuses Suarez of racism

Is it not the case that the report said Evra called him a 'South American' (written in English in the report, yet Suarez's quotes were written up in Spanish?!)? Sudaca could be translated as South American but of course to a none-the-wiser Englishman it then loses all of its offensive connotations.Originally posted by Jack D Rips View PostIm totally on the side of Luis and LFC, but stop saying things that DIDNT happen. Is does us no favours.
Apologies if I've remembered it incorrectly (I read the report while slightly inebriated)Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Tbh, i think a lot of what we say/think/believe Evra said may not be in the report, it's all one way, to make Suarez look the protaganist, Kenny said LFC are annoyed at what is NOT mentioned in there.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostIs it not the case that the report said Evra called him a 'South American' (written in English in the report, yet Suarez's quotes were written up in Spanish?!)? Whereas the fa have included everything Evra says happened, as if it's gospel, even though there is no real evidence to corroborate it either.Last edited by Vermilion; 04-01-12, 11:20 AM.

Nope, I think that's just in Suarez' version (though the word "sucada" isn't mentioned iirc), in Evra's he doesn't say that, though he does admit to saying that phrase which translates as "your sister's pussy".... which the FA decided meant "****ing hell". Tell that to ZidaneOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostIs it not the case that the report said Evra called him a 'South American' (written in English in the report, yet Suarez's quotes were written up in Spanish?!)? I could be wrong though, that's just my recollection from one skim....I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

No. Luis said that Evra said "Dont touch me, South American" in English. To which he replied "Por que, negro"Originally posted by Shaggy View PostIs it not the case that the report said Evra called him a 'South American' (written in English in the report, yet Suarez's quotes were written up in Spanish?!)? IMO The use of translation has only been used when it suits the agenda of those involved, for example the conversation took place in spanish so the word 'negro' should be translated but hasn't been, IMO because suggesting he said 'negro' in English is worse than suggesting it was said in Spanish. On the other hand Evra's words have been translated into the less offensive version in English, the ****ing hell, rather than the reference to Suarez' sister... It looks like similar my have been done with the offensive version of South American...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Frankly I dont think ANYONE including the FA can say what was exactly said with any certaintyOriginally posted by Jack D Rips View PostNo. Luis said that Evra said "Dont touch me, South American" in English. To which he replied "Por que, negro"
They cant even accurately describe the conversation "beyond reasonable doubt"
The entire report is based on the "balance of probabilities" ie in all likelihood the conversation went as follows:-
Doesnt mean it did or didnt
Frankly any LFC supporter with any sense will just let the whole thing lie
Rightly or wrongly the clubs last statement should be the final word on the matter
Let whoever and whatever say what the **** they want but just dont rise to the baitBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

No apologies. Damage is done.
All we need to do is apologise, and the FA can sit back and smoke their cigars, safe in the knowledge that "justice" has been done, and their pound of flesh has been collected.
Free to continue in the vein they have always done, media are free to continue their own racist campaign, Suarez can continue to be driven from English football and Liverpool can take their position as bitches to the FA.
This is the last official record from the club on the matter, but no-one should be left in any doubt as to our stance on that matter."I will make the boys feel your support"

It will be interesting to see how long time they will suspend Terry, if they will do it at all.
If they don't suspend him at least eight games, should really be something like 16+ games because what he said is already a fact there isn't any doubt that he said what he is accused of saying, then the whole kick it out campaign is dead in the water and something you can just laugh at.
So will it be just another Mascherano incident when the whole campaign lasted one game or will it be a campaign that really means something?Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

I don't care what they do with Terry. My belief is that the racial abuse alleged by Evra is much worse than the incident involving John Terry. Although for legal reasons the FA state that Suarez is not a racist it's clear that they think he is.Originally posted by Arn View PostIt will be interesting to see how long time they will suspend Terry, if they will do it at all.

Terry's caught on camera calling someone "a ****ing black cunt".
To me it's far worse than the Suarez case. It really is an acid test for the FA, the so-called "tough on racism" and all this "kick it out" stuff. Let's ****ing see how anti-racist they really are, how they'll deal with the England captain calling a fellow pro a "****ing black cunt".
We all know how it'll pan out and the FA will be a laughing stock across the world. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I would like to think Terry would get at least the same ban as SuarezOriginally posted by Arn View PostIt will be interesting to see how long time they will suspend Terry, if they will do it at all.

Unfortunately I have ZERO faith in the FA doing this
IMO they will use the court case to hide behind and they will wash their hands of it once the dust has settled from thatBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
