There is no audio evidence of what conversation was between those 2 and what was actually said so he could have stated to FA that he said whatever to Evra.

They couldn't find Evra's story more believable in that case as their statements would have been polar opposite but the fact that he admitted that he used word "Negro" which is what Evra also indicated in his statement was the main and the only reason why FA sided with the cunt.

I don't support lying or omitting the truth as the correct course of action but the fact remains that being honest will not always set you free especially when you deal with incompetent and corrupt institution as FA.

I'm aware of all that, but as I say it's really not clear what difference it would have made. From a logical pov keeping in line with the report it should have made no difference to their verdict. They believed Evra and not Suarez. That would not have changed. To say otherwise we are assuming there was more to their reasoning for their judgement than is contained within the report.

A fair assumption IMO. However, estimating their actual undocumented reasoning, removing that single admission from Suarez could have had any number of possible impacts on the outcome. Your scenario is one possibility, but they could equally have found exactly the same, or felt his account was all the more implausible and punished him more severely. It's possible that when he admitted saying it once they felt he was a dirty ****ing racist so must have done everything else Evra said. My point is, for all their flaws, I cannot believe it is clear that was their motivation.

Perhaps more importantly, I think it is wrong to talk about how honesty is 'not always the best policy' with the benefit of hindsight, when at the time it was very clearly the right thing to do and not just out of altruism. Comments like that don't offer any real insight and merely encourage people to evaluate situations from the point of view of looking for dishonest ways of achieving a desirable outcome.

With all due respect,what a load of nonsense.Why would we even need to sell him? As long as he comes back and does his talkng on the pitch,it will all be boring for people after a while to start with and second why for that amount?

Beleive me mate i hope your right and i am so far off its a joke but if real get their claws into him and if the situation gets out of control i can see them trying their luck and turning his head then putting in a low bid knowing what the situation is. I like everyone at the moment are just feeling a bit pessimistic. A trip to Wembley in feb should change that though
