Don't get me wrong, it's a **** thing to say, and obviously more so because of his position and history, but I'm just getting really ****ing bored of all the mock indignation at the hint of every minor 'racial incident'.

I'm not talking about here in particular.

I hear you, but come on man, the head of the Anti Racism European Campaign, who seems to be very anal when it suits him, calls a Asian man a coconut, I mean really, thats like calling a Chinese person a banana. Now if we were to use the same standards dished out the Luis he should get the book thrown at him.

And his replies on this matter really show him up to be quite the self opinionated cunt. He regularly makes sweeping generalizations about "Liverpool Fans" and racism and I for one and sick to my back teeth of been tarred with these ****ing horrendous slurs.

I am really getting a sense of jealousy and resentment of the tradition and our sense of family of this great club and it seems all in sundry are just waiting for any little opportunity to knock us and the club any chance they get.

I for one will be writing into the relevant bodies asking he steps down, which I believe he is anyways on route to the FA no doubt. He is bang out of order.

It's baffling that someone representing an organisation opposed to racism would use a racist term then try to defend it. Surely if black people use a racist term between themselves then it's normalising that term? If it's racist then it's wrong and nobody should use the word or phrase. If a black person uses the word "******" then people hearing that word may be more likely to repeat it. I hadn't heard the word coconut used in a racially offensive way before, now I have a new term to abuse people with! ;-)

The thing is he cant have it both ways, if you follow him which lets face it we all do now, he basically jumps on any mere hint of racism no matter how small and goes in full pelt with indignation.

But like I said a million times, we are all inherently racist, it seems its as natural as breathing, even some of us who hate racism are are still racist on some level, otherwise you would not be human. However England answer to cultural social problems seems to be to go extremely PC one size fits all correct, when in reality the world does not work like that nor is it as it seems from the Armchair of the average Guardian reader with very little stamps in ther passport.

All this said, I have never ever called a single person a banana or coconut, actually I tell a lie I have .. my wife .. a number of times if I be honest in jest .. but I usually follow on with I am a lychee .. white on the outside black on the inside .. but I dont claim to be pure of thought when it comes to racism ... we joke back a forth all the time .. A white women would not be able to cook like that, yeah well a chinese man would need a booster chair to eat it .. but its obviously a massive piss taking excersise in the privacy of our own homes ... what grates me about all of this is ...you know racism when you see it ... you feel it .. calling someone a Black Caant is pure racism yet its innocence till proven guilty ..

but getting back to my point ... I have never called anyone a Banana or a Coconut ... except of the wife ... seriously though its quite a derogatory thing to call someone .. its almost like calling someone a Uncle Tom ******

I'm thinking, with Suarez back tonight, that now might be a good time to be locking this thread.

If it turns out that we end up with a lot of chat that could have gone in here in other threads then I'll move those posts and reopen it, but hopefully, despite the inevitable stuff from fans of other clubs, we can start getting back to talking about Luis playing football again.
