It is. That website is usually full of reactionary articles, not to be taken too seriously.

Always good to see what people are saying thought to get a better understanding.

Is she, where does she say...'to get Luis to racially abuse them'?

As i said earlier, i think she's talking more about his safety, and also..we don't know what the Mirror asked her.
Maybe something like...." Are you worried about your son, do you think Black players will now go after him thinking he's a real racist ?"

Although I have the nagging feeling this may no longer be quite as true as it was.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I would think this one is kinda "lost in translation".

Man the Mirror didn't ask her anything - it's from a Uruguayan paper that they have had translated. Still sounds really bad though. Which I assume is exactly what the Mirror wanted.

alright, she said "go looking for him".
what's that supposed to mean? attack him? hurt him? try to get him sent off?
doesn't matter as she's implying that "black players" will react to it in a certain way because they're... well ... black. you see - that's racism in my book. and by the way, you can be racist in certain ways without actually realising that you are.

Yes - it's all definitely worth a detailed read.

Suarez is a racist. So is his Mam. The FA seem like a sound bunch. John Terry is a decent guy.

The subject IS Black players though, and whether they will go 'looking' for Suarez, because he IS GUILTY of racially abusing a BLACK player.

How is she supposed to make her point ? Are you saying what she's thinking/worrying about is irrational given the circumstances of the case ?

There are alot of people in this country (and it's noticable in football in particular) that just believe everything they are told by the papers, journalists, social commentators pundits or whoever, it seems very few people can actually be bothered to find things out for themselves or develop their own opinion on things. It really frustrates me when I hear or talk to them
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Have read the piece from the professor on Suarez. The "sos" argument hadn't occurred to me, and that's certainly, ahem, Rioplatense demotic

Two things: 1. I don't believe for a minute Evra's made it up. All parties seem agreed on that. 2. It's semantic: the verb is not key.
                              @RorySmithTimes
I've said enough on the FA's English cultural imperialism. LS has learned a lesson.Semantics are no basis for appeal. Take the ban, move on.

What a bell end. Semantics are also no basis for a conviction. Nice contradiction. He's talking ****... again.
