there're two issues in my opinion: the way suarez behaved and the way evra behaved. i for one want to focus on suarez because i believe he let us down.Originally posted by Assassin View PostHowever, I for one do care. It was premeditated by Evra down to the very last detail when he was looking straight into the camera with a "pained innocent me face" whilst grabbing Luis's arm. I have seen this with my own eyes. No-one will convince me any different.
I have already sent an email to the FA on the subject. It has been received as I have a return mail

Sorry if this has been raised earlier in the thread.
Why was the whole handshake bollocks not scrapped for this game like it was for the Chelsea v QPR game? Is it anything to do with the fact that Sky were screening this game?
The stupid montage before the game of the whole Evra/Suarez saga was pointless and overdone. Sky and the media were desperate for something to kick off.
I've had to avoid the radio and TV the past 18 hours because otherwise I'd smash them - the crap that's being spoken by supposed intelligent people and obvious rubbish spouted by those you'd expect.
"The FA must take action" - FFS - Why? What would he be charged with?
"He should never play for Liverpool again" -
The majority of these inbred deadbeats have never taken the time to read the Regulatory Commission report (probably because it's a level above the Janet & John they normally have trouble with)

Suarez probably feels like ****ting the little *******, but instead he chose not to shake Evra's hand. I wouldn't have either, can't believe anyone else would have expected him to under the circumstances. If some cunt falsely accused me of being racist and I'd had to endure all the abuse that followed then shaking someone's hand would be a pretty stupid thing to do. I don't give a **** what the media or ex-players or anyone else outside our club think. Suarez made his point yesterday - there was an opportunity months ago for the FA to bring this to a sensible conclusion, but they chose not to. I hope this whole thing blows up, the FA are nothing but a bunch of self-serving ******s.

As for the whole handshaking procedure before the game it should be scrapped. It should reverted back to the days when only the captains shook hands at the toss up of the coin

Damn right, the bloke has been very very harshly treated by this country, many of it's people, and for sure by the footballing authorities.Originally posted by Assassin View PostMy focus is on supporting Suarez through this difficult time

The whole thing has been blown totally out of proportion to real life and what's important!
edit: ffs there's videos doing the rounds of when Scholes refused to shake Viera's hand, was there the same reaction ? I don't ****in think so.

Suarez is a racist? Was he found guilty of being racially offensive?
The media and 99% of the population need to be reminded of this section within the regulatory commission report (Although "reminded" does suggest they read it in the first place)
The FA
"First, this case is not about whether Mr Suarez is in fact a racist. Indeed, the
Commission will no doubt conclude that there are some indications that he is not.
For example, Mr Suarez is himself of mixed heritage, it seems clear that he has
experienced the diversity of life and it is plain from the materials submitted on his
behalf that he has done good work in the field of community relations. Moreover,
even Mr Evra says in his witness statement: "I don't think that Luis Suarez is racist".
However, the question is not whether Mr Suarez is in fact a racist. Rather the
question is whether, on 15th October 2011, for whatever reason, Mr Suarez used
language and behaviour which was racially offensive. This is an important
difference and, we submit, that the Commission will need to take care to ensure that
the questions it answers at the end of these proceedings are the narrow questions
posed by the charge and not any broader question as to the personal attitude of Mr
Suarez."
The Commission response
We agree with that submission subject to one qualification. We would not ourselves
describe the question for us as whether Mr Suarez used language and behaviour which
was "racially offensive". Those words are not found in the relevant Rules or in the Charge
brought against Mr Suarez, and are prone to mislead.
The question for us is, as we have stated, whether Mr Suarez used abusive or insulting words or behaviour which included a reference to Mr Evra's ethnic origin, colour or race.

Also for what it's worth I think the handshake should be scrapped, the idea of the handshake is supposed to be a symbol of fair play, which is a joke when you consider that certain players set out to deliberately injure an opponent, dive or fake injury. That isn't very sporting and is somewhat hypocritical. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Luis Suraez is a Worldclass Robbie Savage ... he needs to embrace his role as the villian and just laugh it off, the majority of fans did not like him before he even kicked a ball in England for his handball in the World Cup. The fact he looks like he just hates the opposition does not endure him to away fans etc.
All our so called paranoia has proven well placed throughout all of this. Time now to seat back, take stock and work out a way to come out of all this stronger in everyway, step by step. We need to manage those media cunts on a tight leash.
Siege Mentality worked out ok for that whiskey nosed cunt so why not for us. I genieuly feel certain people in the media are just infaming the situation as much as they can fill colum space and that classless cunt of a manager is throwing them soft balls.
Our day will come, and when it does it will be a sweet sweet day.

I think it may have been because there has been a final verdict in the Suarez case, everyone sees him as guilty, so there's no reason to scrap it. If the players don't shake hands, it is because of Suarez.
The FA and Premier League just forget that the enormous rivalry between the two sides and the toxicity between them may cause things to boil over.

And the man in question? Luis Suarez? All the crap he's going to have to put up with. The club are a disgrace the way they've handled this.
Why can't Suarez look at legal action against Evra now for defamation of character? He's getting destroyed on all the major news channels.
Liverpool and Man Utd wouldn't be involved. Only the two men at the centre of it all.

So if a work mate of yours, lied and had you labelled a racist among the public and your peers, putting you and your family through hell, you would, for proffessional reasons, just shake on it ?Originally posted by fred_plasticine View Postin a professional situation you sometimes have to swallow your pride.
it that case it would have been better for lfc if he had done so.
EDIT: wanted to reply to another post, lol!
For me, some things are more important than making people happy by going with the flow.
