I think in time we'll all laugh at this handshake thing, i can't help thinking about all the effort, all the expectation that he'd casually walk down the line and would'nt have the cahoonas not to shake Evras hand, regardless of any injustice he felt.

But how wrong we, they...everyone were.. I think Evra was most shocked, he probably thought "i'll make him reach for my hand.....he can't not do it", and Luis just..Whooshed on by.

Sums Luis up tbh, the only thing that's predictable...is his unpredictabilty.

Also, as serious as all this is, he din't kill anyone, and time will heal.

It's an interesting code of ethics Sir Alex Ferguson lives by when it comes to footballers.

Kung-fu kick a fan? That's fine. Sleep with your brother's wife? No problem. Bed an OAP prostitute? Splendid. Admit to deliberately trying to break an opponent's leg? Boys will be boys. Refuse to shake hands with an opponent? Ban for life.

Everyone will have a view on Luis Suarez's conduct on Saturday but far more unpalatable was the fact that Fergie was allowed to poke his purple nose into another club's business without censure.

Bookies Boylesports are betting on whether the outdated Premier League pre-match handshake tradition will be scrapped by next season and at 12-1 I'd say that's a very good bet.

More interesting, though, is the betting, next time the two North West giants meet, on whether Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish will shake hands with his Scottish nemesis.

Dalglish will be fuming that he's been forced into a humiliating climbdown by a PR drive at Anfield while Fergie has been allowed to escape scot-free for his incendiary comments.

Fergie should tread warily on the race row. Last time he got involved in a race row, Rock Of Gibraltar cost him a fortune.

BetVictor offer 16-1 for the two Scots not to shake when United next face Liverpool. Not a good bet -Dalglish will shake with rage.

Suarez's dignified response to scoring and his equally dignified response to Patrice Evra's dangerously provocative gloating should have spared him the vitriol heaped on him because of a) his decision not to shake the Frenchman's hand, and b) his decision to be Uruguayan.

Wayne Bridge was a hero when he snubbed John Terry's handshake; Samir Nasri drew no criticism for a similar snub to William Gallas. But Suarez has been deemed the villain in a media pantomime so even if he'd sponsored a Mother Teresa fun run around the Old Trafford pitch on Saturday you suspect he'd have been castigated for cruelty to pensioners. Wayne Rooney would merely have asked for her number

McGovern is awesome. Only thing I miss about the Mirror is his column.

In fact I'm guessing he does that to a lot of people.

I actually marvel at the fact that he turns in for his show every day because the chances of someone beating him to a pulp on the way in to the studio must be quite high.

Hadnt noticed it, but if he does get booed it will be Liverpool's fault.

In terms of blame, I was thinking about who is/are most guilty of causing this whole mess we find ourselves in. I still consider the FA mostly to blame for this almighty ****-up, they were in a position to deal with the matter responsibly and sensibly and yet opted to allow this to serve their own pathetic agenda. If I compiled a list in order of culprits in this whole sorry saga I'd have to list Evra and then the media next and then Alex Ferguson. Suarez was just in the wrong place at the wrong time talking to the wrong person etc.

I was talking to someone today & we both commented that Luis & pepe were last out of the changing room; which wasn't the norm. Pepe is normally 2nd out, so they must have known before Luis wasn't going to shake his hand; this & only this was his error. LFC should never have stated handshakes were going to happen & instead taken the QPR route & stated that it is up to the player. AT this point the FA would have **** themselves & cancelled any handshake. This would have ended any issue. THat added to the 24hr FERGISCUM news channel being told to **** right off (obviously) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
                            pepe is always last out.

I'll give you my view - there is no discrimination: asian footballers (99.9%) of them are ****e

Did you know Bari could have made it as a footballer! He won player of the year in the first season he played for his hometown club but jacked it in as he wanted to become lazy and fat. He succeeded - he is lazy and fat
