It didn't though. I'm not one who subscribes to hitting the woodwork being 'unlcuky' because to be honest unless it deflects for a scoring opportunity, it might as well have been blasted a million miles over the bar, it makes no real difference. It's either in the goal, or it's not.

Skrtel deserves all the praise coming his way. Ever present last season and kicking on form wise this season. Not that long ago he was being called a liability. He looks solid, and the Agger partnership looks fantastic.

If he didn't save that goal I am not so sure we would've won.

We conceded a sloppy and slightly lucky goal today but our defence is a real plus for us. Agger just switched off and Ba got infront of him but we are a good solid unit, we look like we have continuity and understanding back there, which has been missing for long time it's a breath of fresh air.
