Despite Bellamy getting MOTM I’m still concerned with the way we set up on the wings. I thought Carroll looked well up for the game early on and thought he was destined to score, but I felt a bit frustrated for him when the ball got out wide. TBF, Downing did ok too, but you just never expected us to get a good ball into the box and score from it.
The great cross from Gerrard was something I thought we would see a lot of this year. Pre-season I was hoping that him and Adam would be the wide players of a midfield trio getting balls in from deep, with the FB’s overlapping and getting to the by-line. Was thinking with Suarez out left, Kuyt right and Carroll the target man we’d have scored a **** load.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?Comment
