Not surprised. We always look defensively vulnerable when he's in a two man midfield

shocking stat that. Needs to continue watching from the sidelines at the moment.

He's got no place in the side while Gerrard is fit. He can make an argument for himself then but up to now he's been slightly disappointing. What he was supposed to be good at, he's failed to deliver, freekicks, corners and pens.

I had hopes that he would become good for us when we bought him, but now I believe it was false hope.

He is the one player around the first 11 that I really hope we ship out in the summer, not good enough in almost every aspect of his game.

I cant see him getting in at all when Lucas is fit.

Gerrard, Lucas and Henderson sounds like a fantastic trio.

He'll be a good squad player for us, we need those as much as new quality players for 1st eleven, and for 6m quid that's not too bad. I kinda like him, I think he's had a few very good moments, just requires a very specific team setup to be able to play well.

that would be the 3 I'd hope we played and as a 3 with Gerrard as the link between m/f and the attackers

The problem is IMO, that he requires to many other players to carry him. It seems like he would need both Lucas and Spearing or similar to afford having him in the team, and even if we did that he is not really good enough to warrant that kind of special protection.

Other than the odd moment here and there, I've not really been impressed with him. Feel much happier when I see a team sheet without his name on.

I think it would only be fair to see the stats from the games he has started.

And alongside who, if someone has enough time on their hands.

Clearly not a good enough player

To be fair to him, he does have a few assists but his general play hasn't been great. Doesn't have a defensive bone in his body it seems!

Good squaddie but shouldn't be starting if Gerrard is fit.

Possibly, what was the lineup in that Chelsea match where he assisted Johnson? I though he was brilliant there. With him I often got a feeling that he was more selfish and "heroic" rather than just bad, so maybe that's something that can still be fixed? Anyway, I agree that right now we're better off without him in the starting eleven.

With Lucas he looks ok, He does have an eye for a pass and has a few assists this season.

His set pieces have been atrocius though and thats one aspect i thought was suppused to be excellent.

for 6million you are never going to get a complete midfielder, and coming from the bench as others are tiring he maybe pretty effective. ( not that keeny likes to use his subs to often )
