I think some people expect too much of him. He cost the price of a squad player, and we got a squad player.

So long as he remains that and not a certain starter then I think he's a pretty good signing for the money spent personally.

Not good enough as a regular if we are aspiring to be the best. Decent squaddie but he should really be at somewhere like Villa or Sunderland.

Definitely should be on the bench & no more given choice.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I think it is more the return to fitness and form of Stevie than Charlie's absence that have improved things for us. Though I agree his form had fallen away massively over the last few months, and as things stand he can only expect a place on the bench.

has done better than given credit for in his first season here. has contributed goals and assits in an inconsistent side.

set pieces have been a let down though

I've never been a massive fan but on occasion he has been very good for us. On the flip side, as soon as we take him out of the team we seem to find it much easier to get a decent shape to the midfield. The problem is partly consistency and partly that we don't have the players to balance his weaknesses. I could imagine him becoming a valuable squad member but he needs to improve.

He's not good enough. At all. One season wonder.

I would do it except I researched and posted a similar stat in the Spearing thread that was duly ignored. A stat that included games with and games without!!!

                    So now...

(TBF, the post was sore on the eyes and I was getting pestered on the phone at the time so didn't have a chance to make the point I was gonna raise.)

He is the one player around the first 11 that I really hope we ship out in the summer, not good enough in almost every aspect of his game.
                        agree.

Who knows, him and Masch could make a lethal centre back pairing.

he's settled better and contributed more than henderson so far so id be happy to see adam playing at hendersons expense at present.

in a 2 man midfield adam does seem to be caught out (although with lucas as the other player i think it could work as adam would be free from his defensive duties which so often let him down)

in a 3 man midfield with gerard and lucas i think he would flourish and i hope to see that next year.
