If he were to come, I'd obviously give him the benefit of the doubt and support him and hope that we succeed, however I just think it's the wrong time to be drafting in an inexperienced manager and seeing whether it works. I'm also quite positive in life, so I have already pictured him coming in and blowing the place apart with new, fresh, exciting ideas and that it all goes according to plan, just as it did with Di Matteo... **** knows. Where's Rafa!?

As long as (some) so called supporters give him longer than 18 months. I mean, there were a few (minority) on here calling for Kenny's head when he was less than 12 months in the job.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostAs long as whoever we replace him with does a better job that is all that matters.Another MASSIVE game

But that's not FSG's logic. Kenny came in as a short term fix for Hodgson. Anything after that was a bonus.Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostWhat happens if the new manager fails to qualify for the CL next season? Using your logic, he should be sacked immediately ...
Rodgers is coming in with FSG's original grand plan: employ young and upcoming. Therefore by THAT logic he'll be given 2/3 years irrelevant of finishing fourth, at least first time round.
Edit: Question for Mods, who made my signature font size so big? Wasn't me. I like it whomever did it.
One tit for another.

Nobody expects that to happen surely? An improvement on 8th and significantly more points than a measly 52 will suffice for the first year.Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostWhat happens if the new manager fails to qualify for the CL next season? In what way is that my logic? That is you projecting on me, I expect a significant improvement next season. Think that is pretty reasonable.

Well I've been reading your posts and disagree with the majority of them. There seems to be lots of emotions and little logic.Originally posted by el matador View PostAt least martinez has had afew seasons in the premiership whereas rodgers has had one season.
if rodgers gets it over martinez then fsg look lost to me. You need to ask questions as to who is advising them because that person or persons is taking the piss.
There is no ****ing way I'd let you near the club any more than letting me loose on it.Oh I don't know.
If as many seem to think Rodgers is nailed on for the job i wonder what part, if any, Dave Whelan has played in Martinez not getting the job?
Anyone know what sort of compensation Swansea would be due if we appoint Rodgers?
I'm sure Whelan will tell us tomorrow
