I think that we're inevitably going that route simply because others are exploiting that avenue. This I'm afraid is the way things are.

As long as most of the money is reinvested in the team then there's nothing wrong with that imo.
      Are we winning?

So we stay loyal to kenny even if that ment not competing for the league/CL?
Kenny already said he's a servant at the club and if the owners move him on FOR the benefit of the club then what have they done wrong?

When people are confused and feel insecure about something, they usually hide it behind insults and aggressiveness ... The truth is, you are putting your blind faith in some Americans who have probably never heard of LFC until 2-3 years ago, and would have no problem if LFC no longer exists, as long as they make enough profit from the operation ...

I did post some details previously of why I thought it wasn't used. Basically when it gets to such a simple level, I think it stops being sabermetrics, all clubs use stats to a degree, but just looking at a little bit more depth (such as chances created to assists for example) suggests that if stats were used, they were used in an immensely superficial manner. That imo, is not sabermetrics.
So you decide based on how well the idea is applied as to whether you want to call it that?

Utter bilge. We didn't get to the top of the game by keeping people on out of sentiment.

Well, yeah, equally they might use slightly stronger language if they are gobsmacked at the kind of irrational crap someone comes up with.

Criticising blind pessimism doesn't make you a blind optimist.

If you don't know where you are coming from, you will never know where you are going ... This club was built on it's proud history and traditions ... Those are the foundations of this institution ... You remove them, and it would crumble down like some house of cards ... If we sell our principles for the quick buck, we become the poor man's version of Chelsea and Man City ... What is next? The cheer-leaders? Plastic flags? Is this the future you are talking about?

I assure you I am Far from insecure or feeling confused my Macedonian friend.

FSG have so far done nothing wrong as owners, you seem to be making huge assumptions on where they're headed and what their agenda is, of course it's to make a profit long term but they're not going to achieve that quickly, to do so will take time, good business decisions both on and off the pitch which as far as I can tell they've not made a huge amount of mistakes so far.

Kenny being sacked was a shame but I would imagine it was more than him not getting the top 4 finish we all hoped for, in fact Comolli being removed leans towards this being the case but we don't truly know either way.

I'd be interested to know who you'd want as owners for instance?

I couldn't care less who the LFC owners are, as long as they are taking the club forward and respect our traditions ... So far, we have seen the following from FSG:

                      1. They have managed to sell our star striker at the first opportunity, without even trying to convince him to stay ... Maybe the Mancs, City and Spurs were stupid to keep Rooney, Tevez and Modric when they wanted to leave, but the league table suggests otherwise ... By doing that, FSG have turned LFC into a selling club, regardless if we have got £50 or £50 million ... The next time any big European club is interested in Suarez, they would know it is only a matter of price ...

                      2. They have shamelessly sacked a person that has dedicated his entire career to LFC's success, without the decency to promote him to an executive role within the club ... By doing that, they have adopted a "condom" personnel policy, where people are thrown away the very same moment when they are not fitting the owners interests ...

                      3. They have made no progress on the new stadium at all ... They don't even have the decency to confirm if they are going to build a new stadium, even though it is the only possible way to remain competitive in the long term ...

So, to answer your question, I want owners who would not sell our star players, owners who would provide stability at the club so the competent people would always be a part of the club, and owners who would build a new stadium ... Basically, I want this:

                        1. Torres was determined to go.

                        2. Were Kenny's stints at Blackburn and Newcastle part of his dedication to our success?

Once again money and TV change football fans beliefs that football is no longer about winning things (which is the whole point of something competitive) but just take part and aim to finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or even 6th...

                              1. So was Tevez, yet he has won the title for City couple of weeks ago ...

                              2. You are saying that Bayern Munich should have thrown away Franz Beckenbauer because of his time at Cosmos, HSV and Marseille?
