Well that is kind of how it works, sabermetrics isn't just looking at basic figures.

Maybe if it's done well it's not, but it's not defined by use of specific criteria at all let alone in football so it doesn't have to be. It's purely your say so. It's just objective statistical analysis of a player's value to their sport team, specifically baseball if you really want to be anal.

I never wanted Rafa to leave, and I wanted him to return once Kenny was sacked. Why? Because he's one of the few managers available who has / had a long term vision for our club. Houllier had it too, but ill health put a stop to that.

The more I read about Rodgers, the more I'm warming to him. I don't necessarily buy the theory that if he's young and unproven he can't step up. To me, it's about attitude and vision. I hoped Kenny still had it but I now don't think he did, much to my sadness.
Rodgers has a vision, a philosophy, an eye for detail. All of the things Rafa had, but without the baggage or pig headedness that Rafa showed. Rafa fought the owners, but we all knew how that would end. If Rodgers is willing to work under a DoF who can protect and guide him, help keep the baying wolves of expectation calm, then I think we can have a very bright future.
LFC needs to be great again and that can only happen with owners and a manager who have long term vision. Which we have and are looking for.
The future may just be very bright, I am hoping so.

I would prefer Moyes to Rodgers or Martinez.

I am serious. He has done a better job on a budget that either Rodgers or Martinez.

Thing is, if the greater non lfc football public were to be asked, they would probably say that Moyes is a safer pair of hands. imo.

Not sure what that says about them or Moyes, but i do believe most would have that opinion.

When you say 'better job', what do you mean?

All teams use stats though, that doesn't mean they use sabermetrics. The argument in favour of us doing so are extremely weak at best.

Think he means finishing top 4, and higher up the table ?

Can't think of anything else and tbf, had Martinez or Rogers achieved such, many would be citing it as a reason for hiring them.

But then the greater wider public also rate Roy highly
