People are saying this about Van Gaal but I've seen nothing in th way of quotes to back this up. All I've seen is evidence of him winning a whole load of trophies.Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostIt is your choice ... Nowt like making a total leap based on hearsay and old wives gossip.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I almost 100% agree. Maybe 85%?Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostIt is your choice ... I would have concerns about LVG's ability to do a DoF role with anybody without terminally falling out with them.Oh I don't know.

i think rogers tactics will work well fairly quickly with the squad we have. we played a lot of possession football last season so his work will be around movement, positional play and game tempo.
the one thing i do like about swansea is that they've been consistently punching above their weight over 2 - 3 seasons now. their football has been consistently very good. unlike martinez who was a 7 game wonder.
interesting times. LVG as sporting director with Brendan as the coach. hope the latter is given full support to implement his approach otherwise it'll be a nightmare

I hope so because swapping managers frequently is generally not a good recipe for successOriginally posted by malg View PostIf it is to be Rodgers, will he be given more than a season to turn it around. Depends on whether he's given a £100m+ to spend.Originally posted by malg View PostIf it is to be Rodgers, will he be given more than a season to turn it around. I.e we win a cup and say for example we finish 8th, do people think he will be given another year.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

The B Rodge's style looks and sounds attractive, its a huge gamble no doubt, but FSG did seem to seek out many other avenues before coming to their decision. In the end it seems it was Brendan and Martinez left of which i prefer Rodgers by a mile. (not really sure whats happening with Van Gaal)
All of us as fans want to see the team win, and i think its fair to say most of us would love to see the team play good football as a bonus on top of that.
My only possible querie is how the philosophy will be implemented on this current Liverpool team. No question its easier for Barcelona players and indeed any Spanish national player to fit into this style because they are consistently taught it from early ages there. The same can't be said for all english players/club, but im optimistic they'll take to it!Y.N.W.A!!!!!!
