we couldnt have sat back and weathered a storm for 90 minutes and survived.
the constant threat of our forwards skinning city on the break had them ****ting it and scrambling back like kids all chasing the ball in the playground.
although we were less on the front foot in the second half after salah stepped out we still had mane putting the ****s up them.
our defence had to up its game in the second half and taa and robbo kept the city wingers quiet. sane ended up not even trying to go around taa anymore

such a great all round team performance, motm could be taa or mane, closely followed by robbo, and milner. well done lads.

We let them have the ball in midfield but stayed compact around the box and denied them opportunities to knock the ball through or over to runners. The flanks were well marshalled, usually with two on one and forced them back to the middle where were pressing and catching them on the break. It was so good to watch and they didn't have an answer to it.
