We do need a striker but i would love to see Borini in the middle of the 3 as he is a poacher. Get Luis out wide so he can create.

I actually think we would have buyers for him, and West Ham paying £10m for Jarvis certainly gives me hope of making some money on him.

I think Brendo wants to keep him though.

Absolutely and we have a blend of young and old players.

Another positive, I was at the Arsenal game today, if they play like they did today we will tear them a new one next weekend.

I said that mate. I saw that match and if we play like that against them we will overrun them. I have never seen an Arsenal team with very little goal threat. Just shows you how much RVP got them out of jail last season. I don't think they will finish in the top 4.

I think he should be competing for one of the front three positions now (assuming Sahin performs), and can then fill in in CM again when someone gets injured/suspended.

Hehe! Word of caution though - he was everything you said, but only today. Very promising, but let's see how he does over a longer period before we get carried away.

He's still got those moments of telling class that can **** a team in an instant. Assist from corner today and almost brought about an own goal with a beautiful ball too. His general play and influence is not what it was but his class still shines through, especially when teams take their eye of him.

Rodgers has got something about him I really like, planned on City playing 3-5-2 I don't think many others would have in fairness to him.
Think that's a bit harsh on Kenny. Let's not forget it was under him that Carra lost his place in the starting XI.

Yes it was a loss of focus, a bit of an autopilot ball, but like I say it would be wrong to slate him for an error which is no small part down to trying to implement a new philosophy. He'd likely have cleared that last season. But then he'd have hoofed a lot of other balls too, that's the trade off. In time we will be better off this way.

When Agger returns he'll go straight back in IMO with Seb back to the bench. Where does that leave Carra? Anyone think he may be off this week. You could view last week's start at WBA as show of respect from BR as if to say "You've been here 15 years and the CB position is yours to lose". Which he promptly has.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Would any of you swap Agger for Balotelli?

I would re-word that to "Carragher came in when others were unavailable, although it's been obvious for a good three seasons that he's a total liability, while Coates was lucky to get on the bench, despite being Copa America Young Player of the Tournament when Liverpool signed him"

Downing must feel such a ****in muppet seeing a 17 year old come in and perform like that.

Very down about throwing it away but overall massively encouraged. With Sahin, Assaidi and maybe 'a few more' coming in things are looking very promising for us.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Look at his performances for England in the summer, he still has the talent without a doubt, I could agree with criticism of him in the first Gomel game but not today.
Yeah I agree with that. I don't think he was poor. A little lacklustre and outshone maybe but not poor

I don't think he'll leave. Possible he's been told Coates and he will deputise according to what kind of opposition they face. Regardless, I think he'll stay and maybe start his coaching badges if the opportunity is afforded him.

Nah, 4th choice, will retire at the end of the season and we'll promote or get a youngun in. Or maybe use Kelly there and buy another full back.

Not sure we'll see Kelly move inside and if we do he has a lot of work to do before that happens as he's not progressed as much as I'd have liked at all
