I don't understand it. Player for player we're good. Our first eleven is good - Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas (when fit), Allen, Sterling, Gerrard (when he can be arsed), Suarez... they're good players.

It's baffling how we can't get our **** together.
We don't pick the right passes (Suarez)
Give up when we lose possession (Gerrard)
Piss about on the ball a little bit too much at the back (Rodgers)
Look like costing us a goal every game (Reina)
Shoot when pass is on, pass when shooting is on (Borini)

      Fair points. Completely correct.

Unfortunately so. Focussing on Xabi's goals I think.

As for the new title, I think a great one was provided in the FSG thread

Until we sort our **** out we'll struggle.. We are hardly riddled with injuries which is a little concerning because we're likely to have a spell when we are without 3-5 players. Hopefully that comes after January.

We are still suffering from one of the problems we had last season in that the midfield doesn't shield the defence (particularly the CBs) well enough, yet it doesn't support the attack much. It's in a sort of limbo state. We can get caught on the break with opponents bearing down on our CBs because the midfield is further forward, but when it (the midfield) is further forward there is no threat to the opposition.

And Gerrard needs to be benched to snap him out of this I-don't-give-a-****-attitude and all-round sub-par play. This could develop into a sticky situation for the Manager, especially if Gerrard gets a cob-on and his media stooges start firing his bullets.

Well, at least we're not Rangers.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Shelvey should be in ahead of him. Stevie was so bad today.

I am so pissed off after that.

I normally try and let things digest before coming back on here but that was one of the worst performances I've ever seen by us, and there have been some bad ones.

Arsenal had much more energy, more power on the ball and they were far quicker over all over the pitch.

We were sloppy and lethargic, don't know what the **** the midfield were doing but we were proper bummed by Diaby and in particular on the counter down the left. Glen Johnson was getting constantly pulled in and kept losing Gibbs and Podolski, ****ing rubbish.

Reina was ****e AGAIN and needs to be dropped, Gerrard and Suarez were crap. Suarez just runs into players and doesn't stop whining at the ref.

Borini was like a headless chicken, don't know what the **** he was doing.

The only positives for me were Allen, Stirling who was very good and Shelvey when he came on.

Sahin for me shouldn't start the next few games, he should be working on his fitness and then bring him on for 30 minutes or so for a few matches.

Sorry for the negative post but I am ****ing pissed off.

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I don't agree with the pissing about at the back bit. It's part of the learning curve.

And people need to take it a bit easier on Suarez and Gerrard IMO. They're both playing badly but they both had football over the summer. I know others have too but I think I'm right in saying Suarez has played for three summers in a row and Gerrard is 32.

I generally agree with the criticisms of both from today but Suarez will improve and be more effective for it. Gerrard is past his peak but it's far too early to write him off yet. There's a clear case for dropping him but maybe there's also an argument for not doing so, at least at this point. Personally I don't doubt Rodgers will do it if he deems it better for the team.

It was disappointing but the delightful Marina's comment about how Arsenal fans have seen it is interesting. And at 1-0 we should have had a penalty IMO and Arsenal would have been down to ten. So a bad result, and not a good game but fine margins, etc.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Just got back from game....went to carra's place, that sports cafe in Liverpool one after the game, which by the way was ****ing dreadful! ****e service, ****e food, over priced, tatty bar and every tv showing the football had a dreadful picture...but what do u expect everything associated with LFC is ****e

                          God we were dreadful,

Reina...wtf fella, pull your head out ur arse

Johnson...tried to get forward, was average

Agger and skrtel, both tried, both kept going to the end, not bad

                          Enrique...dear me, ****ing woeful

Allen, superb...carries on playing like that and he will be sold to city or Chelsea in a year or two for £25m cause the way we are going he is too good for us, he can use us to enhance his reputation.

                          Sahin...shouldn't have started

Gerrard, all over the place, completely lost, very wasteful

Sterling...great performance, feel sorry for him..a lot on his shoulders and he seemed to get very little support from his more senior team mates, certainly in terms of talking to him, encouraging him etc

Borini...****e, doesn't deserve anything more than that

Suarez...clearly not a "centre forward" too wasteful, tries to hard to do too much, and whe things aren't going for him he seems to get worse

Subs, I was actually calling for downing to come on for borini...er oh well

And shelvey, should have started, shows hunger and desire can strike the ball, decent effort

Overall...with Lucas injured, that was arguably our best side, in fact the side virtually everyone of us predicated/wanted to see start, maybe shelvey over sahin.....no options from the bench, and we were beat 2-0 at home.....it's going to be a very long few months until we can strengthen in January....

Seriously, one or two injuries and we will do well to be top 10 come xmas.....start of the summer, we had a weak squad that clearly lacked goals and lacked attacking options.....we then let maxi, Bellamy, Carroll and kuyt go and the only replacement in was borini.....****ing suicide
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Perhaps this international break for once is a blessing for us, we need to regroup and try and work on how we want to play.

Today was a reality check for us but weve got to move on and keep to the beliefs Rodgers is trying to instill

Hardly a blessing if this is correct! We're going to have a tough time this year

"Sometimes the international breaks are a time to reflect," Rodgers added. "We've only got about four players here over the next 11 or 12 days, so it certainly doesn't help us."

Rather a break at the moment than playing again
