He's still our best player most of the time but

That was a very good chance. I don't know if he was going for the spectacular, but he certainly chose the wrong option. As he does quite often.

Yep, and absolutely nothing to change it. Brendans team was **** today but the owners are a disgrace.
Perhaps Brendan lack of ability to change his system should be called a disgrace? Fact is Sahin should not have started, **** 4-3-3, we ain't got the squad, Arsenal were not that good ,our **** play and lack of tactics gifted them an easy 3 points

              Yeah, obviously.

But he can be so much more and it's really frustrating.

it's clearly gerrard that shouldn't have started if it was any of the 3 of them.

I have said similar things last season

What formation do we play then? We've only got 2 forwards then a 17 year old and a load of erratic players out wide.

I posted this in the Premiership games thread:

Had Suarez had that RVP chance he would have either miscontrolled or tried to dribble and beat the entire defence (normally unsuccessfully)
                              We come not to play.

Brendan Rodgers insisted Liverpool would improve as the season progressed after watching his side lose 2-0 at home to Arsenal on Sunday.

The Reds boss felt poor decision making was to blame for the defeat, inflicted by goalscorers Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla.

"It's about decision making," said Rodgers. "The goals we conceded, it's got nothing to do with style, nothing to do with systems, nothing to do with the tactical element of the game. We gave the ball away and then we didn't recover well enough to stop the shot.

"For the second goal, we had enough bodies behind the ball to defend the goal.

"And we created enough chances but were not clinical enough. There is a lot of good to come from the game but we lost and we need to improve.

"We'll get better as our season progresses. It was always going to be a difficult start.

"I have an inherent belief in this way of working, and I've had success with it. Over time here, that will be the same. These are the hard yards that you've got to put in early on and take the flak for."

Asked for his thoughts on a transfer deadline day in which Liverpool did not capture the striking reinforcement they had hoped for, Rodgers replied: "It's something that's gone now.

"We all know we needed reinforcements and the players needed help, but the window is shut, we can't do anything about it now.

"My only concentration is with the players that are here, and they've been fantastic. They've given me absolutely everything every day and I couldn't ask for any more from them.

"We've got what we've got. A lot of young players are going to get an opportunity.

"Raheem Sterling, I thought, was terrific today.

"Joe Allen and Cazorla were the two best players on the field, the two little guys, the technicians.

"We've got some other young players and that's where we're at. I'm not here to cry. I can't do anything about it. The reality is we've got the group we've got.

"I am very proud to manage this club and I want to fight to keep us improving and moving forward.

"My fight to keep the supporters proud and keep the great name of Liverpool going forward is something that I've made my life.

"What has happened has happened, we'll reflect on it as a club and hopefully come January and the next window we can transition the group that allows us to compete."

Rodgers was also asked whether he would consider a move for any free agents that were available, and names such as Michael Owen and Didier Drogba were thrown at him.

He said: "Any player I believe can improve the squad I will look at. We've got a very small group, 19 players training yesterday morning, and some very young players in and amongst that. I can't say no, I always have to look and see where we can improve the group."

Liverpool have no fixture for two weeks now as international football resumes.

"Sometimes the international breaks are a time to reflect," Rodgers added. "We've only got about four players here over the next 11 or 12 days, so it certainly doesn't help us."

                                Are we winning?
