I criticised Suarez last season for being wasteful and was mocked for suggesting that we'd be better off without him. I still think he's a terrific footballer and I maintain that we would be better off with a proper striker. Gerrard was woeful again today, I'd stick with Shelvey instead. We need to focus on building a team. What's happened to Reina? His distribution has become quite poor and he's not the stopper he was. It's hard to give any credit for that performance today, Allen did okay and Sterling was trying.

I think every other team in the Prem are so much better at punishing opposition when they give the ball away.

Prime example today was when Jenkinson played a cross field ball deep inside his own half. Borini picked it up, ran with it and lashed it into the stands.

We play so well until the final 3rd, and the one touch stuff works well at times, but not when you're the lone striker. You need to hold the ball, make sure it sticks then give and go.

We will get there, however unfotunately we will have to wait to January now to bolster our attacking options. Which I suspect will leave us miles behind 4th place, and struggling to claim a Europa League spot come the end of the season.
