Standard in the Europa league is generally ****e though.

Nope, we didn't invite pressure. Thought we did well and Anzhi just tried to force a result because they were losing. We were largely comfortable throughout.
      Are we winning?

Great result and another clean sheet, tight in the end but we dominated for the most part. Assaidi was outstanding, thought Agger,Skrtel,Wisdom were superb at the back, Sahin done some fantastic work tonight playing in a very deep role. Downing's goal was superb but he was poor apart from that, all this talk of him kicking on now..blah blah heard it all before... but lovely strike and won us the game.

Thought Shelvey and Suarez had absolute nightmares, Suarez's play acting is getting ridiculous. No doubts he is fouled alot but he is his own worst enemy, diving and giving abuse to the officials. Thought Stevie was average tonight again, loose passing and just cruising around.

What worried me though was like the Reading game, the last 15 mins we dropped deep and slowed down, leaving acres of space in the middle and both Reading and Anzhi have come on very strong in the last part of the game. We seem to get very anxious and nervous in seeing the game out, and we put ourselves in that position as we are appalling at finishing games off when we are on top.

P.S. Was very surprised/happy that good oul Sammi Eto'O decided that he wanted to play wherever and was trying to be a playmaker/holding midfielder at times, seemed to be doing whatever he wanted....was weird. But delighted to have him away from the box.

True. There were a number of aimless hoofs which Rodgers probably won't be happy about.

Thought we were largely very good. Didn't see too many hoofs to be honest.

I thought we were too. It was evident in the last ten mins that we gave the ball away from longer balls down the middle and invited them a bit, but it's picky in the scheme of things.

Yeah, we were probably a wee bit tired.

He is a world class talent but he has that side of his game that you can see why not many people outside of Uruguay & Liverpool don't really like him. He can't seem to keep a low profile either as regards the bad press. Outstanding talent but does himself no favours.

Good win though, Suarez is knackered, two games in a row now he's been woeful.

                          Another clean sheet, happy days.

                          Wisdom and Assaidi are great
Bar his finishing, he was excellent against Reading.

End product doesn't equate to his 'excellent' performances. Sometimes we need to draw a line. I can understand why people would be frustrated with him. He's incredibly frustrating to me and I love him to bit.

He's a 'striker' so finishing is a pretty large part of his job.Maybe woeful against Reading is harsh but not excellent and poor tonight.

I love him to bits but he over complicates things too often. I'd have hooked him tonight, nothing he tried came off and I didn't blame Sterling for not passing to him at the end

EDIT:- and the moaning at decisions does my head in. Compare him to Sterling who gets fouled just as often but gets up and gets on with it,no looking to ref's no moaning.just play.
