Just a minor point, but in keeping with the whole BR ethos, I beieve that the players (especially in the attacking third) need to start trusting each other and encouraging each other a lot more. Too much tension, moaning and frustration between the players for my liking in that final third when it doesn't come off.

I think the tension comes from previous games. Once the goals come they'll be flowing like there's no tomorrow. Just need the floodgates to break.
It's the same at the back. Plenty of tension towards the end of the Anzhi & Reading games as the players had that familiar feeling of here we go again.
The two go hand in hand. Players will be less flustered in front of goal when they know we'll keep it tight at the back, whilst the defence will be less flustered when they know we'll put away our chances and one mistake won't cost them.
It's coming. We are very close to getting on a role.
The only thing that upset a bit was Rodgers making Suarez & especially Gerrard play the full 90 minutes. They are absolutely crucial for Sunday...
No real difference though if we had played on Wed in the CL and the derby was on a Sat really though is it? They are professionals, playing Thursday and Sunday should not be an issue. Not like there is travelling involved either.

Aye, I think it was a pretty reasonable gamble myself.

I think he's been good for us in deeper areas. He's not doing the things he used to do and occasionally he plays risky balls but we do need some drive forwards. I also think he works well when we play two wide players off Suarez as we need to be looking to spread play.

I think he looks lost in Brendan's system & I doubt we'll ever see anything like his 10 + goals a season/ swashbuckling attacking style hero of old. He doesn't have the patience to fit into the system I feel. He's too direct for how BR wants us to play.
It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if Gerrard didn't play against the bitters. He's hardly in the best of form.
But Gerrard has the ability to do things that no one in the squad can, not even Suarez. Just because he's not doing that every game doesn't mean he's not playing well ffs!

I know he "has" the ability but hes not doing it at present. Im not writing him off but im just saying that if he plays he plays, if he doesnt, meh
and It's not about him doing it in "every game" he's not doing it in any game at present IMO. Meh!
