This january tranny window is crucial...if we dont bring in real firepower then im sure we will finish between 8-12th in the league! I really do believe that all we need is goal scorers and a back up dm.

Same could have been said in May. Rodgers spent his budget on players that were never going to address the most glaring problems in the squad.

I think then we were more 'what if' about previous season. Obviously losing players like kuyt maxi & bellamy and not replacing them didnt help. But it is now too clear to see we need more goal scorers in the team than trying to fill any other position.

Not enough goals and a powder puff midfield?

I think the midfield is still sorting itself out but having Lucas back will help that, the fire power is certainly a problem but not something we could have fixed in one go

Goalscorer/s and back up for Lucas. The whole budget blown on players that just don't fit what was needed. Fast forward to the next window and it's still the same problems that need sorted.

Add Diame or someone similar, and a proper forward to last seasons squad and we'd doing a million miles better.

We bought a young third choice striker , which we needed, we just didn't get the second choice one unfortunately. Not brendans fault by all accounts. And unfortunately, there weren't teams queueing up to buy the crap that kenny had bought that we don't need so there was little scope for purchases.

£11m was a lot for a third choice striker, we have other young players who could have fulfilled that role. I'm sure we could have bought a better option with that sort of money, just don't ask me who - that's what the scouting people are employed to do. Apart from the purchase of Suarez we haven't been very smart in the transfer market for a number of years. That's another discussion anyway. I think Borini was a bad purchase, we needed much better - or at least someone ready to contribute straight away.

i think the players we brought in for the first team are quite obviously the product of a transfer window without a chief scout.

£11m is certainly not a lot for third choice strike. Look around the league.

                              Can't argue with this.
