Best player I have seen live by a mile. And I have seen a lot of top class players - Zidane, Scholes, Messi, Ronaldo etc......
Suarez at home to Norwich when we won 5-1 was superhuman stuff. He scored 4 goals and they were all ****in amazing. Every time he got the ball you felt he could score. I remember someone else (think it might have been Joe Allen) took a free kick in the second half and the crowd went mental because Suarez should have been on the ball as much as possible that night. The guy should have been taking corners and shooting from them that night for feck sake.
As amazing as he is, his work rate is unreal as well though. He leaves everything on the pitch and the fact that we had this world class player who was also the hardest working ****er on the pitch in my mind that made everyone else 3 to 5% better as well.
Even if it was 2 years from now, and he was past his peak, then I would love if he came back to LFC for a season or two.
He would have been incredible under Jurgen Klopp as well. Jesus.

Alonso home to Norwich was probably the most perfect performance I've had the privilege to watch live.
Norwich.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thats what depresses me. Can you imagine a player and coach any more perfect for each other?? They would've been absolutely unreal together.

I think Klopp has Firmino as his Mini Suarez, obviously not on the same talent level but the same busy busy busy street football mentality.
I don't see the similarities at all to be honest. If anyone is close to the busy busy trait of Suarez it would be Lallana.
I don't think anyone in the squad has anything close to his personality traits of persistence, tenacity and grit. I actually think this is what we miss most from Suarez, more than his undoubted technical ability.
Yup. Best work rate from our attack, shading Firmino.
Also he's got an edge and a directness that Suarez excels at. But different talent levels clearly but hopefully Mane approaches anywhere near those heights.

I also think he has a similar single-mindedness, will to win and extremely high standards.
Keep up his current from for more than 2/3 of the season and he's certainly close to Suarez form/ability before his final season.

“The first half was really good from Daniel, but we needed this player there in the centre that we could play with, and play in behind and push up with.
