He had a couple of good seasons towards the end, 2007-08 we drew all 6 games against the other top 4 sides. 2008-09 we won 4 and drew 2, his last season it all went to **** we won 1 and lost 5Originally posted by Gibbo View PostRafa had quite a poor record against the top 4 didn't he?The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Does anyone else get this sensation?: Where you are suddenly overcome by a wave of pure hatred for Manchester United and everything associated with the club, a dislike so potent it sends a shiver down your back and stings your eyes, as if you're about to start crying? Perhaps that's a bit strong but that is basically what I just experienced, and I have this feeling relatively often. I hope and pray that they will one day languish in total mediocrity. I've just shivered again--a bit like seeing something really and truly disgusting. So. many. bad. feelings!!!!!!!
edit: Alright, in fairness, I should say I don't hate Bobby Charlton. The lunch and tickets he gave those Hillsborough families was a very nice touch. Now I will recommence being histrionic about a football club.Last edited by Marina; 14-01-13, 02:33 AM.

Alright, well, thanks for chiming in. The "doctor" comment is patronising and I didn't really appreciate it. Anyway, I wouldn't expect anything less from Ferguson and just to clarify, which I shouldn't really have to do, I don't actually wish any harm towards Manchester United supporters, but it doesn't change the fact that I truly and wholeheartedly hate the club.

Thank you for not thinking I was an evil, ridiculous bitch. Before anybody else gets their knickers in a twist, I want to reiterate that I was being incredibly facetious (except I did literally shiver in disgust thinking about Van Persie, Ferguson, and Phil Jones guffawing together while several British journalists fondle their bollocks).

Brendan was very brave to take off Lucas for an attacker but that may have been because Lucas was on a yellow and was a red waiting to happen.
There are positives to be taken from the match for sure and Brendan has an excuse for not starting Borini and Sturridge due to long term injuries but he really should have gone with Henderson over Allen because the over the past month Henderson has been out performing the Allen. As long as we learn our lessons this game wont have been in vain.
