Sturridge looks like an arrogant ****er but hopefully will form a good partnership. Should of been straight into the goal and picked up the ball, not wagging that finger!
I took the opposite from the second half - thought the midfield worked well with Allen in there and Sturridge up front. The key being Sturridge helping push back the United midfield and fullbacks.

The problem for us IMO appeared to be a weakness defending crosses.

Agger first half was in a wall against a free on his side of the pitch and Skrtel second half for the free where we conceded the second.
Agger and Skrtel were most likely in the wall because of the threat RVP poses from set pieces. In hidesight you could say we should have put taller defenders on Manu's defenders but had RVP curled in a goal straight from the set piece people would have said why didn't we have taller players in the wall.

did the double over Chelsea and Manu and drew twice with Arse I think - those were the days.

I have never, ever heard a wall criticised for the size of the players in it. If a player scores from a free its usually a superb strike or the wall has pussied out in some manner.

Just thought it was strange. Seen Phil Thompson question it earlier too. You hardly ever see centre halves in a wall.

In any case We could have had Johnson in there if we wanted height since he failed miserably in his duties of heading clear at the back post

PICTURE: Liverpool fan gets ‘Munich 58′ tattoo after Manchester United defeat

Following Manchester United’s 2-1 win on Sunday, one Liverpool fan didn’t take the result too well, and resorted to getting ‘Munich 58′ tattooed on his backside.

As if this was strange enough behaviour, he then took a photograph of it and posted the picture on Twitter. He has since deleted his Twitter account.

Astonishing that someone would actually do that.

The thing is though - knowing your average thick footy fan it's actually not that astonishing
