You just know that Barcelona see him as the heir to Iniesta. It does make me wonder why we hardly see him in the central areas nowadays, or it even being contemplated.
Rodgers saw it as his position:
Klopp's system clearly requires pace and movement for it to work. Although I feel Coutinho has come on leaps and bounds in the left flank role, I still harbour hopes that if he stays, we'll see him in the central areas, perhaps alongside Lallana. The radio presenter says “Speaking of improvement, I see you’re not that mild-mannered boy on the pitch anymore?”, to which Coutinho replies: “I owe thanks to Brendaõ (Brendan Rodgers) for that. After Wigan away, where I didn’t stop fighting – Brendan called me to office and told me he’s sure I can be a ‘volanté’ or a no. 8.”
Klopp's talked about the lack of wingers for two seasons now. I'd love to see us use the chunk of our budget on proper attacking width and a forward. At least two new wingers, and another centre-forward. This would give Coutinho options ahead of him to make his clever passes, as well as being able to press.

I think after Suarez I couldnt care less if players want to leave us. If he wants to, just get as much money as possible and reinvest.
Id be sad to see him go, because he kick-started his career here. But hes not irreplaceable.
FWIW I think he will stay if we get CL football.*Except Michael, who died.

That's me too, only thing is I don't want the money frittered on several squaddies. If we get 80 million, I want two 50 million players instead.Originally posted by Alex View PostI think after Suarez I couldnt care less if players want to leave us. Was gutted when Torres left, disappointed when Suarez left.
Not bothered now, if anyone want to go, then **** them. Coutinho has never been consistent enough to be the highest level for us... yet!Modifying post.

I think the real shame with Coutinho if he does go you can see him having a suarez impact on Barca or Madrid and really fulfilling his potential.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post
