£76m sounds like a lot but it's not really if you end up buying players like Michael Keane for £25m. Same as when we sold Suarez - the money was pissed against a wall.

You would hope that they have learned from the loss of Suarez.

Also, Coutinho is only 24 years old. Get 2 or 3 more years out of him and then you will still get megabucks.

The only hesitation I would have is if Klopp wants to go a different direction. If he has 3 players lined up and wants to play a different way (pace and strength as opposed to skill and trickery) then maybe there is a rationale there somewhere. But it would smack of no ambition if Coutinho is sold imo.

I don't think he'll leave this summer anyway...reckon a season or 2 more at least

I think he'll be off. He's about to turn 25 and he's had 4 and a half seasons here.
Can't see him staying much longer, especially if we don't get CL.

Crossroads for him isn't it at the end of the season.

The Champions league is deciding what happens I think.

Barca starting their dirty tricks already

Haha, so this is their 7th year here and they have sold who?

Suarez? What could they do? They blatantly ignored a clause in his contract and kept him as long as they could. What should they have did?

Sterling? Refused to sign a new contract, thought he was too big for the club. City offered more than he was worth at the time, why wouldn't we cash in?

Torres? Had made his mind up that he was leaving after Xabi and Masch left. FSG rejected a transfer request from him. Not to mention he was shot and £50m was great value.

So what exactly have FGS done in these circumstances that has so many people whinging every time we lose a match or a bored journo makes up an article?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Twitter awash with people saying he is off in the summer as his house is up for sale?

Wouldn't ****ing surprise me one bit, depressing ****.

If he's going to go then we need to make a move for Suarez back in return, we have to.

Failing that get a decent fee (£100 million or thereabouts) or a good £70 million plus whoever we can get our hands on from Barca who's semi-decent.

Total bollocks if this happening, Barcelona can get ****ed.

And is it, or is it a case of 10,000 people who have no idea where he lives retweeting a story they saw on Twitter?

Anyone got a link to the house? Maybe he just wants a better house with his payrise?

No need to put it for sale if he is leaving, not as if he needs the cash for the next one. If anything the club may say he needs to put in a transfer request and he forgoes his fee which is probably 5 times more than his house.

£70m and ter Stegan. Use the £70m to buy Keita and Costa. Then use our transfer kitty to get Lacazette and a quality CB.

                            Simples this transfer lark.

Good job getting that new contract signed. Puts us in a better position for negotiations.

I wouldn't be too upset if it means we can buy Brandt and Lacazette.
