We do need to put a stop to selling our best players every season. Sometimes though if a players head is turned, what can you do. Champs League qualification might be a start to stopping that rot. Would be a huge loss regardless of the money we got for him... unreal talent.

Just seen it was Guillem Ballbag who said Barcelona don't want Coutinho, but the player would be willing to go, and it's the move of agents trying to make a deal happen.

That makes no sense. Barcelona don't want him so why should his agent be trying to engineer a move there? If those are the circumstances and his agent suceeds surely he will spend most of his time on the bench. Surely that's not what the player wants.

Sounds like BS to me either that or he needs to get a new agent.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

My memory isn't what it used to be.

Which best players were sold last season?
          Oh I don't know.

FSG aren't actually paying for these in return for equity shareholding - They will borrow the cash and re-lend it at favourable rates within the company (NESN/FSG) Either way it aint free investment.

About ****ing time this club was run properly. Wish they'd come in 10 years earlier
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Philippe Coutinho has agreed to join Barcelona this summer, with Liverpool ready to let him leave if their asking price is met, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish newspaper Sport claims Coutinho has been persuaded to ditch Anfield and move to the Nou Camp this summer, despite the Reds’ imminent return to the Champions League.

Coutinho only signed a new five-year deal with Liverpool earlier this year, but at the time it was felt that was only to safeguard the value of their prized asset as Barcelona continued to hover.

Now the reports suggest Coutinho has agreed to the move with Liverpool holding out for a €90million fee (£76million), with the sale set to eclipse the fee Barca paid the Reds for Luis Suarez back in 2014.

The Catalan giants are also believed to have assured Coutinho that he will be a regular starter next season if he heads to the Camp Nou and that they are certain the player wants to make the summer switch to join his international team-mate and friend Neymar.

Indeed, Coutinho’s desire to leave Anfield could be the deciding factor and having spoken to the players entourage, it’s believed Barca chiefs have encouraged the player to push for a move in order to get bring the transfer fee down.

However, with the player under contract to 2022, the Reds will only sell the Brazil star should their £76million asking price be met.

Teamtalk? So Coutinho wants to leave Firmino behind to join up with 'Brazilian' Neymar? Will Baron Greenback defeat Dangermouse? Why are there no answers?

Personally I'd take the £76m and buy some fast, skilful players but only if we know some are available and willing to come. Ideally shouldn't be selling our best players though, specially when we've got a tougher schedule next season.
                              One tit for another.

Load of ****e but it wouldn't surprise me if FSG yet again sold our best player. We need to start telling these clubs to **** off as you'll never build a winning side if you keep selling your best players.
