Isn't it more ridiculous to want to keep a player that could hold us back from improving our first 11 and therefore the chance to claim a top 4 place?Originally posted by Mostar View PostAs long as we re-invest all the money and spend it wisely of few quality signings (coz you cannot replace him like for like) we can actually improve our starting 11 and increase chances of qualifying for CL next year. Was muß, das muß.

You should NEVER sell your best players, UNLESS they want to leave. Sends out all the wrong signals. Those players win you titles and make you great.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostIsn't it more ridiculous to want to keep a player that could hold us back from improving our first 11 and therefore the chance to claim a top 4 place?
All the top teams in the world have star players. Sell Suarez and where do we go? Hopefully we can sign players this summer to supplement him and enable us to get to a level where his brilliance makes a difference higher on up the table.Forwards.......

It says we're desperate to keep a troublemaker even though they cost games through disciplinary issues.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostYou should NEVER sell your best players, UNLESS they want to leave. Sends out all the wrong signals. Those players win you titles and make you great.
Yes they do but like I said, if we can improve our starting 11 and improve changes of making the top 4, then it will improve our chances of signing another Suarez in the future.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostAll the top teams in the world have star players. PS. We're not a top team yet but we're building towards it.Was muß, das muß.

It doesn't say we're desperate. As far as I'm concerned, if we get offered the right fee and the player puts in a transfer request we should sell. Otherwise we should keep.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostIt says we're desperate to keep a troublemaker even though they cost games through disciplinary issues.

I don't see how selling your best player when you are trying to break in the top 4 will improve a side. If we get £40m what can we get with that? **** all mate. We lose our best player and we'd have to spend at least £25m to get a decent striker, never mind a top class one.
That would leave us £15m. Hardly something worth considering IMO. I admit there are a few players out there that I think would do well. But would they join a side not in Europe? Unlikely.
Put simply, keep Suarez and our forward line is looking pretty damn tasty. Sell him and we are gambling on players adjusting.Forwards.......

Keep him and we're gambling on him doing something else stupid.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI don't see how selling your best player when you are trying to break in the top 4 will improve a side. Since when is £15m **** all money and when did we start assuming we'd only get £40m? I say £55m minimum.
That's plenty for 2 or 3 very good players to help us break into the top 4.Was muß, das muß.

Suarez is world class I want world class players playing for Liverpool so definitely stay.
For all of you saying **** him and sell him , one he is still a Liverpool player so he should be supported as one and 2 you have no idea how long the new players will take to settle. He is now Premiership proven and would have easily won the Golden Boot if he had not been so stupid, he is unpredictable but that is part of what makes him so great you have no idea what he will do but he needs to cut out the biting etc
Looking forward to new season fingers crossed with Suarez still in the team and a few additions lots to look forward to

We need to do all we can to keep him. If we do and he still wants out, well I would be absolutely gutted. If he stays he will be the best player in the PL by the proverbial country mile. He will complete us and I seriously think if we keep him SG will get that PL winners medal before retiring."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

He is already the best player in the PL by more than the proverbial country mile.Originally posted by Tee View PostWe need to do all we can to keep him. I would even say that he is the best attacking player that ever played in the PL. If he played for a top class club then he would IMO, if he stayed fit and didn't get suspended that many games, score more than 40 goals in the league.
Coutinho 25+ assists and Suarez 40+ goals? Not impossible.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a
