Don't forget some of those teams will be fighting for their Premier League status. There are a fair few twists to go in this march to glory!

True but they'll just replace them with some other £25m+ players.

Will Mourinho have a touchline ban or has that been rescinded?

Genuine question, if you factor in form and fixtures, would anybody swap our position with another team and why? I don’t think I would.

If we beat Chelsea, we are ahead of them. I can also see them dropping points elsewhere when faced with a stubborn defence. They may also get distracted by Europe.

City look very shaky of late, have a lot of matches in quick succession and have 4 tough games back to back with us, United, Arsenal and Southampton. Not to mention the goals have dried up for them and I can’t see Aguero getting fit enough to hit top form before the end of the season.

Arsenal I’m not worried about in the slightest.

I honestly would much rather be in our position right now, then either of the other challengers and will be disappointed if we don’t at least keep it going so that we still have a chance when we play Newcastle in May.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'd say right now we would have to win every game to be 100% - and i think that is a bit unrealistic

i'd say we'd need to bare minimum win 7 draw 2 - and in the 7 wins we simply have to beat Man City, Chelsea and Spurs.

that would represent an unbelievable finish to the season and would give us one hell of a chance at the league. But....even then we would still be hoping that the other teams drop a few points.

we have things going in our favour....we have the squad virtually back to full fitness, we have a real good feel factor, we are bang in form right at the right time and we have the in form footballer in the world - so we are well in with it and i do believe we will fight all the well to the end

It's madness to think that on Dec 25th we were top of the league. Since the New Year, we've had the best record out of the top 4, yet we could potentially be four points from the top

Fair play to all the teams involved. It's been a brilliant season so far. Whoever wins it can say they've won the best title race in the PL history imo (that I can remember)

We're always involved in the 'best ofs'. Whether it's CL finals, League runs, FA Cup finals, individual matches or Goal of the Season.

This club is magic. No doubt about it.

No, not as a single moment. Istanbul was the best there ever has been or will be, simply for the hopelessness of it all then the utterly unbelievable, logic defying, divine inspiration-style turnaround. However as an actual footballing achievement, given the consistency you need to win over 38 games, it would arguably be the greater acomplishment.

Lets have that discussion afterwards though eh?

It truly is. Whenever we can manage to get our **** sorted that is. Something in the DNA.

Yes, without a doubt. As good as Istanbul was it led to a false belief of our future advancement.

Winning the league this season, and the manner of it, tells the world we've arrived and we're not going anywhere.

It would be better than Istanbul IMO. 24 years of waiting... the longing, the false dawns, nearly attempts and seeing United romp it with titles after titles. It's close though, but personally it would be the greater achievement.
                            Are we winning?

You guys are mad. NOTHING will ever quite compare to Istanbul. If we won this league it would be equally amazing and possibly the greater objective achievement, but surely you haven't forgotten quite what that night was like for sheer drama, sheer emotion? "Good" BigChief? Good? Get out of here with your good, it was flipping magnificent. Winning the league this year might well sit alongside it, different but equally glorious, but I can't believe anything could ever make me feel the way I felt that night again.

Edit - **** it, going to watch this now for the 54362th time

Istanbul was Roy of the Rovers style fantasy football. We've taken it for granted a bit now maybe...the passing of time dilutes the magnitude of that incredible night.
