Nobody said he was ****e, far from it. A couple of people including me were just questioning whether he was genuinely and objectively good, rather than just doing well for a kid in tough circumstances.

Under the rules, even the new ones, there can't be. Should have been a red of course, ridiculous decision, but personally I'm not sure I'm in favour of changing every disciplinary decision a ref gets simply gets wrong after a match.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:

What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Anyone else think that Everton the club were prepared to accept a red and a ban for one of their players just to put our best player out of action for some time?

The bitters I know are saying he was out for revenge after a tackle Suarez made on him last year put him out for 4 months. They didn't condone the tackle though.
        Go **** yourself

They said as much on BT Sport too. Makes sense if that's the right word

Well ok the word '****' wasnt used but I think you are doing a dis-service to quite a few in the build up threads to the Arsenal and Everton games and their views on him being a starter in those games. He was called all but ****

They cannot under the current rules. Dowd saw the incident and gave him a yellow.

              That is it.

dowd only saw his version of the incident and sometimes it all happens a little too quickly.
to not use the benefit of replay to make a better assessment and keep tackles like that out of the game is a ****ing joke.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

All this retrospective action is bollocks anyway

They finished the game with 11 & he happened to set up two of the goals after he should have been sent off

If retrospective action were to be taken he'd personally miss a few games - big deal - but his team would be at no great loss as they'd still field 11 for the next game

We need some instant DRS like in rugby so decisions can be made that affect the outcome of the game beng played
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Watched a replay of game last night and where the **** were Skrtel and Agger for Lukakus headed goal? Not within a ****ing country mile of the opposition's greatest aerial threat, one of them should have been stuck to him instead of GJ or Flanno trying to challenge him. An organisational voice was really missing in defence

We defend in zone so it's a collective issue when we concede.
                      Are we winning?

It's not a collective issue it's an issue for the person guarding that zone.
Same individual responsibility as man to man marking except instead of marking a man you mark space/zone.

If you are man marking and your man scores it's your fault, if you are marking a zone and someone scores from that zone your fault.
                        It's not collective responsibility.

I thought it was plain stupid not putting Agger or Skrtel on Lukaku at set pieces. Flanno didn't stand a chance there and it was unfair to pair them up. Even if we use zonal I think we need to take special precautions with obvious aerieal threats like him.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

He was Johnson's man, Flanno just tried to cover when Johnsen let him go..

Yep. Just summed up Johnson's lazy 2nd half. He was rubbish, had some lazy moments in the 1st half too. Was very disappointing

Johnson just had another one of those games when he goes into dozy overdrive. Very frustrating. He is capable of such a high level, indeed he delivers at a high level most of the time, but switches off too often really and puts in those brainless displays when he looks half-arsed.
