Seriously, it had nothing to do with desire on either side, just tactics. That was a hard fought game throughout. While it was 2-1 we were trying to sit back and hit them on the break. It inevitably invited pressure, but would have worked a treat if Allen could hit a ****ing barn door from 8 yards. Once they equalised we went for it, took more risks to attack, and got caught at a corner.

That's way too harsh and verging on rather unacceptable imo, he wasn't that bad aside from the miss and I bet the lad is gutted. YNWA etc.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

We made mistakes by not keeping the ball well enough under pressure. We conceded the 3rd goal due to Henderson's stupid attempt at a first time volley when he could have controlled and passed it. Everton countered and it resulted in the corner which Lukaku scored from. Stupid silly things like this cost us. Apart from that we were comfortable enough to have won the game quite easily. Are we winning?

I thought Allen, Lucas and Henderson played well. The miss, however…
Special mention for Suarez - he was immense. World Cup qualifying game in the week, kicked all over the park by Everton, no protection from the ref', excellent free kick, worked tirelessly
Another MASSIVE game

I suppose it was mainly tactics, but I got the feeling that they wanted it a bit more than us. I wasn't saying that we played with no desire, more the fact we played with more hunger once we went behind.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostSeriously, it had nothing to do with desire on either side, just tactics. Which to me says they could have given a little more. Either way, it was a great game and could have gone either way, happy with a point and would have taken a point before the game.
Just as a side point, I made an observation about Lucas giving away freekicks in dangerous areas earlier on in the season. He pretty much proved that again today. I love the guy but he can be very clumsy at times.

This is over the top. He's trying his best. Nothing disgraceful about it.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostI think he's a disgrace, and nothing to do with that miss. Didn't have a positive contribution from start to end. Waste of oxygen.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

They are much better under Martinez.Originally posted by Nigey View PostAnd it was probably the best derby in terms of proper football being played for a long time. With Moyes, Everton were an archetypal long ball but solid team.
Would be funny as **** if the the final league table ended up as:
4 Liverpool
5 Everton
6 Utd
Another MASSIVE game

Yeah, I thought he'd got rid of that from his game, but he gave a couple today away that were unnecessary, one of which ended up costing us a goal.Originally posted by Jaymo View PostI suppose it was mainly tactics, but I got the feeling that they wanted it a bit more than us.
