Everton always raise their game against us. That is as tough as it's going to get this season and we got a point. They won't play with such intensity against other sides and we won't have to deal with it. I'm not disappointed with a point, I think it's a positive result in the scheme of things.

Well in the race for a top 4 spot. A defeat would have been gutting

Had to rush out after the game, it was a fairly intense game, a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play, but the Mirallas should have been sent off which would have changed the game, I still can’t believe that was only a yellow.

These games aren't really a good yardstick to measure our performance or level against, as they are so different from the rest of the season.

Mignolet, Suarez and Sturridge really bailed us out. As I've mentioned a number of times I don't think we have enough of a goal threat in the team beyond Suarez and Sturridge, we need the likes of Lucas, Henderson, Allen, Johnson etc to chip in with more than the odd goal a season.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They won't give us half as much of a test as Everton gave us. 7/9 at the very least from those three.
Banana skins. Beware. I hope you're right.

Apologies if old news but Yann M'Vila was in our end today. Anything in this?
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

That's pretty mental. Isn't he at Rubin Kazan now? And absolutely hating it apparently. Maybe he's the DM we're going for? Or just a mate of Sakho's?

He would be worth a punt. Bit of a nutjob

I'd be fascinated to know what the bloke who came on to tend to Suarez said to Dowd. It looked like he was telling Dowd to send off Mirrallas and I can't help thinking that made Dowd's mind up not to do so.

you think he should be our 1st team right back?

Based on today's game it's not a difficult choice as Johnson was really poor. The youngster did well and hopefully he can push Johnson to up his game.

Johnson throws in a poor show every now and then, no reason to drop him IMO. Three winnable games coming up and in those sort of games he is usually crucial to our success.
