Everton always raise their game against us. That is as tough as it's going to get this season and we got a point. They won't play with such intensity against other sides and we won't have to deal with it. I'm not disappointed with a point, I think it's a positive result in the scheme of things.

Well in the race for a top 4 spot. A defeat would have been gutting

Had to rush out after the game, it was a fairly intense game, a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play, but the Mirallas should have been sent off which would have changed the game, I still can’t believe that was only a yellow.
These games aren't really a good yardstick to measure our performance or level against, as they are so different from the rest of the season.
Mignolet, Suarez and Sturridge really bailed us out. As I've mentioned a number of times I don't think we have enough of a goal threat in the team beyond Suarez and Sturridge, we need the likes of Lucas, Henderson, Allen, Johnson etc to chip in with more than the odd goal a season. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
