Ah! This is the precise nature of the banana skin we face. I hope we do an' all that, and we should without doubt.

But that's what banana skins are for.

Our great teams of the past didn't 'do' banana skins (well, once every couple of years or so maybe) but BR and the team isn't one of those. Yet. Maybe.

Until we go four up on Wednesday, it's all a bit 'will we, won't we' for me.

I kid you not that I slipped on an actual banana skin outside Anfield before the game yesterday!

      I was really proud.

I took a picture as proof but can't be arsed posting it.

According to RedCafe, apparently Rene (the Fulham manager not the French cafe owner with the dodgy eye) has said something like "United's approach was straightforward. Get it wide, get it in the box. It can be easy to defend against".

If true this suggests that he might well have a different game plan in mind for us - hopefully more open seeing as they are at home.

When we are overconfident before a game that's when I start worrying tbh, we underestimated WBA, Villa recently and got found out slightly, same thing happened when we went to Hull.
I hope BR has told the players to expect a tough fight on Wednesday.

A good manager will adapt his style to the oppositions strengths and weakness's.

Which is why Utd play the exact same way week in week out.....

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

No way they'll try that tactic against us. Not a chance. For one they'll be too tired. But mainly they know our attack is too good and we'd break through them. The mere fact they did it against United showed how weak they felt they were.

I think we'll win this one quite comfortably provided we don't get complacent.

                          say this before every game

                          must win massive game this

we have to turn up, get at them from the first minute and be up for it. Get the three points.

need to win our next three league games - that would give us a bit of cushion when we go to play united.

This is where our experienced players need to step and focus every one on the next game.

I'm sure some players have an eye on the title but we really need to take it game by game.

not sure if that' be a good or bad thing

i'd argue bad - cause we should be on a high, raring to go, fulham hopefully drained from yesterday and it would be better to play as everyone else is playing - better to have points on board rather than games on hand.

but then it could be good lol - we've not followed up big wins with results in the 'should win games'. plus we've got a threadbare squad, so not playing will give us more time to recover, and also hopefully a chance to get some other players back in

nah **** it - i want to play - as long as we win - if we draw i'm blaming network rail and twitter
