It would be horrendous for travelling Liverpool fans too.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostAhhh those poor cockney's have to walk 20 minutes to the ground. Bless them they might get a little wet in the rain or cold. Can't have that now so better call the game off.
LOAD OF ****.
More like their players are ****ed after last nights game and won't recover in time so better blame the underground.
I do believe they are using it as an excuse but don't underestimate that travelling will be a nightmare.

I know how much of a nightmare the underground is when its not running. Worked in London plenty of times when some selfish cunt has thrown themselves under a train and caused chaos.Originally posted by poorscousertommy View PostIt would be horrendous for travelling Liverpool fans too.

My point is they are using it as an excuse as they haven't mentioned the 30k+ fans finding it hard to get to the ground but used the staff. Now if they had said the fans would have trouble fair enough.

And my point is that a good chunk of those fans might not be able to make. So that extends to the staff. The club don't have a responsibility for supporters to turn up. But they do have a responsibility for safety.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostAnd? I'm sure if 30k+ fans can make it to the ground their employees can.Oh I don't know.

They're definitely striking, it was announced on 10th Jan.Originally posted by Fierce View PostIt'll definitely get called off if they strike, and it's nonsense
If they'd used the excuse about fans getting there and the dangers of overcrowding it would be more believable than their own staff not being able to walk an extra half a mile
Complete ****
That shouldn't mean it will get called off though, as it didn't stop them playing Sheffield Utd last Tuesday when there was a 24 hour strike on.
Which begs the question why have they left it until now to voice their 'concerns' and how come they didn't pipe up about last weeks strikes?
Such an obvious ploy..

It's so obvious they are trying it on. They put everything into the game last night and their players won't recover in time to play in form Liverpool who are ripping teams apart for fun. So they use the tube strike as an excuse to call the game off . Like has been said they played their FA cup game during a tube strike so what's the difference a week later?
The bunch of moon walking ****s.

London has got 20 times more people than Liverpool, making it a nightmare if you depend on the tube to travel.
It's annoying if the match is postponed, but I can't see it being played if only 10% of the underground is operating. Are we winning?
