Scored 2 last week in Denmark too. You'd think he's at least earned a place on the bench tonight, but obviously won't happen having played last night.Originally posted by Venton View PostFantastic goal by Wilson - left foot first-time curler from outside the box into the top corner, keeper can't get to it.
I wonder if he'll get any first team call ups or if his sole purpose is to improve the quality of the U-23's.
Surprised to see Brannagan there too, we really must be playing a strong team tonight. Any notable absentees, bar TAA?If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Branno played but was very subdued. Maybe he is coming back from injury or a lack of match fitness with his mooted Wigan(?) loan move breaking down. Or maybe he was told to take it easy as he will be playing some part tonight?
Very notably we were missing Ojo and Ejaria through injury. Both would have given us important pace and power which we lacked on the night. Wilson and Woodburn tried hard all night with some good moments but it did feel like men against boys with Chelsea's gigantic defenders. Overall, our youngsters will have learnt more from this game than the Chelsea young guns. Which is the is the whole point of youth football. One tit for another.

Wilson's the captain of the U23s and Michael Beale has indicated I think that everyone sees him being a mainstay of the senior Academy side this season, not to say he won't get the odd cup tie maybe, but Klopp made it clear last night that there will be much less rotation this season as he seeks cohesion.Originally posted by RedReet View PostScored 2 last week in Denmark too. Liverpool U23 are in Larndarn Town playing Arsenal - currently 2-0 up with a Ben Woodburn double
Kelleher Alexander-Arnold Lucas Wisdom Randall Williams Wilson Brannagan Ejaria Woodburn Gomes
Lucas just been replaced by McGuire.
My stream is a good five minutes behind!
FT 1-3 Woodburn x 2 and Gomes. Ejaria was in fine form against his old club.Last edited by redmike65; 26-08-16, 11:48 PM.

****ing hell, demolished. Bit embarrassing that really for a club of this stature.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
