    .
The mere fact he is still at the club with a new deal is the biggest clue to his short term future Leave the lad be and let him surprise you.

In other news Ovie Ojaria has been called up Wilson-like to the Nigeria senior side.

Seen that. Could be a nuisance for us down the line with the African Nations, but would be good for his development to play for them and get some International experience.

Somehow can't see Fat Sam finding a place for someone like Ejaria in his team (and please don't let me hear about Okocha for the millionth time), or any of the other English managers that were in favour for the job.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

U23's beat Morecambe 1-2 coming from behind, goals from Brooks Lennon and Jack Dunn

          Kelleher
          Whelan Jones Juanma Hart.
          Williams Phillips Phillips,
          Wilson Lennon Dunn

          ---------

Morecambe liked Jack Dunn scoring against them so much they've taken him on loan.

Liverpool forward Jack Dunn signs on a six month loan.
THE Shrimps have signed Liverpool youngster Jack Dunn on loan.

Striker Dunn, who ironically scored one of Liverpool's two goals against the Shrimps in a pre season friendly this weekend, has signed a deal until the beginning of January 2017.

The 21-year-old has been well known to Morecambe boss Jim Bentley since he appeared for Cheltenham against the Shrimps during a loan spell in 2015.

                More Harry Wilson goals

                MK Dons 1 - 3 Liverpool

Liverpool U23s: Kelleher (Firth 80), Lewis (Whelan 70), Trialist (Hart 60), Brewitt (Masterson 45), Maguire (N Phillips 70), Virtue (Coyle 70), Wilson (Lennon 60), A Phillips (Alves 60), T Gomes (Garton 80), Kane (Owens 80), Woodburn (Brewster 60).

Harry Wilson scored a superb goal as Liverpool U23s continued their impressive pre-season form with a 3-1 win over League One outfit MK Dons at Stadium MK on Monday night.

Michael Beale’s side were full value for their win over Karl Robinson’s talented young side, and further goals came from Toni Gomes and Rhian Brewster.

Herbie Kane was given another chance at U23 level while Ben Woodburn also played for an hour.

Beale’s charges took the lead after just four minutes when Woodburn set up Wilson who finished superbly.

Another great team move led to Gomes slotting home and substitute Brewster, who was playing for the U16s last season, added the third.

Reflecting on the victory, Beale told Liverpoolfc.com: “We played some great attacking football and it was another good test for us.

“We scored three excellent goals, could have scored a lot more and could have had a few penalties, so overall it’s a good night for us.”

Beale takes the U19 squad to Dortmund on Wednesday for an international tournament when the young Reds will face the likes of FC Koln, Benfica and Borussia Dortmund. The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Schalke are also involved.

Harry Wilson having a stormer of a pre-season so far. Hopefully he does better this year.

That is an awesome freekick. Perfection, pace and placement. He used to do this quite often before last season too.

If he can stay fit he will. Easy to forget he was the star of the show with the U18s and often U21s two seasons ago before the Crewe loan and injuries derailed him. Needs Ojo's diet....

The U19's are playing in Germany at the Ruhr Cup - two games tomorrow (Friday) and if they progress Saturday then Sunday for the final I presume.

Harry Wilson will be in the first team squad next season I reckon.

We should make him into a LB.

                          Rodgers would have by now.

                                New yoof season ahoy!

First the good news - the U18s opened their account in emphatic fashion with a 4-0 rout of Blackburn Rovers a hat-trick from Liam Miller and one from sub Glen McAuley

                                1 B. Williams
                                4 C. Masterson
                                5 M. Parker
                                2 H. Whyte
                                8 H. Kane
                                3 A. Lewis
                                6 L. Coyle
                                11 Y. Dhanda
                                7 B. Adekanye
                                9 Toni Gomes
                                10 L. Millar

                                16 R. Brewster
                                12 G. McAuley
                                14 J. Hunter
                                15 G. Johnston
                                13 C. Kelleher

10 minutes https://vid.me/i9Xa - Adekanye looks promising as does Liam Miller on his U18 debut (he is Canadian)

Now the bad news, the U23s were sent packing with a flea in their ear by Southampton at Prenton Park. By all accounts the midfield was utter pish, hammered 1-4.

                                1 K. Grabara
                                6 J. Williams
                                5 J. Maguire
                                2 C. Randall
                                4 T. Brewitt
                                3 S. Hart
                                7 H. Wilson
                                10 A. Phillips
                                8 M. Virtue-Thick
                                9 D. Ings
                                11 B. Woodburn

                                16 B. Lennon
                                14 H. Kane
                                12 C. Whelan
                                13 A. Firth
                                15 Toni Gomes
