Seems like maybe it's Skrtel everyone has to fit in around.

Fair play to Dejan, he's fought back quite impressively, best period of his LFC career.

Although to be fair I think he did play on the left at Southampton.

I'd like to see these two get a few games together now

It's like watching a different player ha ha!

He's done everything well, his heading, clearing of the ball, simple passes and he's looked a lot more relaxed on the ball but not relaxed to the point that you're ****ting yourself watching ha ha!

Very impressed and pleased for him.

He looks solid. Not sure you need anything super flash from a centre half but at the minute he looks our best defender. Saying that his competition is a very rusty Sakho, Old Man Toure and Marty ****house so maybe not the greatest of achievements.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I'm as shocked as anyone in his new found ability & confidence. Never underestimate the Klopp factor. He's finally looking like the player we thought we bought last season.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I have always thought that Lovern would succeed in replacing Skirtel and not Sakho .... looking more like the player we thought we bought

Put in a good shift, maybe a Sakho / Lovren partnership is the way to go.

I thought Lovren was excellent yesterday.

Magnificent yesterday. Aggressive and well positioned too.

Liverpool have now kept nine clean sheets in all competitions so far this season; Dejan Lovren has started eight of those games.

How did he end up as a left sided defender? Seems to be better on the right, don't get how Rodgers didn't try Lovren - Sakho more.

I'm not sure there were many advocating that partnership under Rodgers in fact I'm pretty sure he'd have got pellters for doing so.

Do agree though why Lovren as a right footer hadn't been given a go on that side

Because Rodgers didn't seem to rate Sakho and Lovren was absolute dog **** for long periods under him.

New manager and these players look totally different.
                              *Except Michael, who died.

Yet Marty walks straight back in at West Ham and we concede as many in 5 minutes as we did in the previous 3 games. Since then he's also cost us the Basel game, was shambolic at QPR and last night.

Marty's stats under Rodgers in the league after QPR :

65 games started, 91 conceded, 17 clean sheets. 1.4 goals conceded per game.

19 games not started, 14 conceded, 10 clean sheets. 0.73 goals conceded per game.

Not all his fault but they're the facts, every partnership under Rodgers with him in has been ****, when he's dropped or injured we've been much more secure. Maybe it's just one mega coincidence but it'd be nice to see him out of the team for a bit and see what happens. Whats the worst that can happen? We look **** defensively?!
TBF Rich, I didn't call it but I think G did And probably Chris, but no-one ever takes any notice anymore
