To be honest, I think we bought the wrong defender at Southampton...should have been Fonte as he looks assured & leads by example.

I don't think it would have made much difference, we'd still make him look ****.

Similarly, Southampton are getting the best out of Bertrand, he's been excellent for them this year, but when we were linked people were getting hysterical.

yeah, that's true...just reading in Brendan Rodgers thread where someone mentioned that it's the system , not the players that's flawed regardless of who we sign for the defence.

I just wish that Rodgers would do summat to sort those defence issues...a good defensive coach would take a look at what's required in terms of organisation & a sound base to enable Rodgers wants us set up attack wise.
