I'm sure I read or heard somewhere that it was Lovren that improved him incredible as it may seem.

BR on Lovren: This year experience will benefit him (in future).
will prove in his time he is a very very good player. He needs time and he will prove to be an outstanding player.

Is Rodgers taking the piss with that quote or what?
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

He wasn't even outstanding last year, when he had the season of his career, although he can be better than this **** he's giving us right now, anyone can Hopefully he gains some confidence and tries to keep it toghether for the rest of the season, if Rodgers wants to insist on playing him.

            What's he supposed to say?

'He's much worse than I expected, pure **** in fact. I am having my balls chewed now for pissing £20m up the wall on this clown when we will be lucky to get £5m back for him in the summer'

Manager backs player he bought shocker.

Don't mind Rodgers bigging him up as long as he doesn't start picking him, especially in place of Sakho.

Why did he feel the need to say anything? Lovren has been a catastrophe and a horrible waste of money

Eh because he was asked quite a long question about Lovren's form, ability and given the fact he is better than shown is it an issue with anxiety?

Geeing up the player I suppose...trying his best to get the player not make a fool of him!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

If he's asked a question do you expect him to sit there and say nothing ?

Of course he he's going to put a positive spin on things regardless of the facts that's part of the job especially with the media attention football gets these days

Ah right didn't realise he was directly asked just assumed it was the usual Rodgers soundbites that he's prone to coming out with

It was definitely the correct way to go about answering the question, but Rodgers does give a bit too much away to the media, players and public by putting in a snide comment regarding teh players he doesn't like quite as much. No doubt if the question was about Borini, Sakho, Balotelli, Enrique etc he can't resist whereas Lovren, Allen and his other favourites will never get that treatment.

I think in that case you are saying Rodgers is being honest, whilst you would prefer he wasn't. I agree, he should say nothing unless it's positive. But in fairness to Rodgers, can you point anything out where he has said something bad about a player employed by the club?

I'd say the worst he's said has been that a player hasn't produced yet because of A or B & that the player is working hard to turn it around, just like he did with Lovren today. Can't see wgphy that would be deemed negative.
