Also the elbow, what the **** was he thinking? Not sure if it was 100% intentional, but there'll be eyes on him now

He's still ****, played better today than normal but he still gives me the frighteners every time he's near a ball.

Don't wank over him too much lads, another almighty Lovren classic howler will be served up soon, it's only a matter of time.

He looked a world beater against Dortmund so its early days but you have to be encouraged after that. Hope it continues. Thats a whole 2 games he's played well in since he joined a year ago, what a player, legend.

I think that elbow looked worse in slow motion. In real time, it looks like he's planted himself and as he is anticipating a challenge, he's tried to use his arms to shift his weight forward. I don't think there was malice; his eyes were on the ball the whole way.

Had a very good game and covered Gomez well who at times struggled. The biggest moan I've read on Twitter is he was at fault for the first half Attack which Glen spooned over. He wasn't, he came across and they got in because Hendo switched off and let Van Ginkel get in behind him.

I think in 90 mins away in this league you will concede the odd chance but as a whole the back 4 did very well. Lovren contributed to that and wasn't a weak link.

I was unhappy with him last season as he committed basic errors that gifted the opposition chances, he didn't make any basic errors today. But he has to play every game this season like he did today to recover his LFC career.

No malice at all and there were no suggestions by anyone that there was. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

I think you've been ridiculous to write him off and you can't complain if people mug you off if Lovren turns it round. He's had more than two good games but as a defender it's absolutely about concistency and he's never showed it. Hopefully he now can.

Whilst he remains at the club there's always a chance he can turn it around, showed at So'ton he's got quality. Just needs to not be a bag of nerves and too eager to win the ball to prove his worth.

Had a solid game, was never a sending off either.

Maybe he played better because we simplified it at the back and had a big outlet to try and hit?

I think that helped, but I think also noteworthy was the midfield and defence seemed a bit tighter and closer together. Possibly because we went longer and wasn't as stretched when attacking.

Helps we have energy to get back. Hendo went to sleep first half and let Van Ginkel in, but his energy and pace allowed him to get back in and least pose VG a problem. Previously we had Gerrard or Lucas in there and if they switch off there's no getting back in.

Who mugged me off? He's been ****e for a year and as you already said yourself, he'll need to be good for a year to turn it around, Nigey jumping the gun a bit I reckon but I sincerely hope he has every reason to come back here and say I was wrong when the lad has spent the year being a top quality centre half.

I said he's been ****e up to now, just like 99% of us, but he might improve and that's what we have to hope for. By the same token I'm not sucking his plums after one decent game. He's done nothing to justify us buying him but he can of course turn that around. I hope he does.

Good job we won today or Dannyman was going to write off any chance of 4th

I would have had we lost. Honestly. It's difficult enough as it is, but we need the confidence with the start we have. Had we lost today the fans would've been right on us and the pressure would be massive going into our next away games. We could have been a mile behind by December.

Last season we were on the floor and a pre season of Cannon Fodder did little to bring the confidence back. Winning premier league games is essential. A win now today and follow it up with another and it's all positive again.

I said If people mug you off. I agree with the rest. He's got a mountain to climb but he's made a good start on the climb this season.
