Thanjk you.

Yup. Rodgers is far too stubborn for that to happen
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
On the subject of defenders making mistakes, I think there are very few that won't make mistakes on the ball when they are pressured (obviously some make more mistakes than others) but IMO it is another good reason to play a high intensity pressing game, firstly if we can pressure opposition defenders we should be able to create some fairly easy chances for ourselves, secondly pressing high up the pitch means that the opposition are less likely to have a chance to expose our defensive weakness.

All I can take from that picture is that you propose burning Lovren, now I don't think he's a good defender but surely that's taking things too far

For me if you are playing 2 CBs if one gets dragged out wide if you get the opportunity you put the ball out of play concede the throw in and give time for your fullbacks to get back and your CB to get in position.
As a centrehalf you do not jockey the man outside the width of the penalty box. That's a fundamental, you clear the ball / take the ball or take the man

What I see most about Lovren. Was evident on the 2nd and 3rd goal. He rushes out into areas that he should not be in & leaves his position open & huge spaces in behind him. It happened so many times last season. I remember when he signed people where saying he's a front foot defender and a leader, he not he's just absolutely headless. Last season I lost count of how many times he charged out of position either into wide areas or into deep midfield areas and he either lost the ball, got beat in the air, got bypassed or gave away a foul. He was directly at fault for so many goals last season.
So we have him & then we have Skrtel (Who i like) who tends you drop that bit deeper when he should be more on the front foot. Personally I think anyone who plays with Lovren is in serious trouble.
Positionally he's dreadful
The thing is I can't tell whether it's just his positional play that's the problem or failure to do the fundamentals or both
It's probably both

Ah that's what it is - So someone went at the club went out to buy a birthday cake and came back with an apple pie? Typical
