In my opinion he has the potenital to become a good player; he's got real pace and energy, technique, he's got some of those great flying tackles in him, can hit the ball well... It's just that he's inexperienced and naive which results in all of the stupid **** he's done, but sitting on our bench will never change that.
A full season in Serie A or Bundesliga would probably do wonders for him. After that, if we want him back we take him, if not he'll still be worth more than now, a year of not playing any football.

We would have amortised the cost of his transfer over the length of his contract so we may have actually made an accounting profit on transfer fees, excluding wages.

He must be near the end of his contract now? Either way that would be a decent profit on paper as we must have written down half of his transfer fee.

I'm surprised we didn't take the £11m. Klopp doesn't fancy him, and I'm hoping we have plans to sign a good left back meaning he's not needed. A lot of teams play 3 at the back with wing backs. Inter, who are a reputable and supposedly ambitious club, have been playing ****e like Nagatomo. I'm sure he could do well there
