Despite my reluctance to condone any Hodgeson decision, I do think that we probably did the right thing in letting Insua go, the only place he's managed to get semi-regular game time is at Real Vallecano. The main problem was signing Paul ****ing Konchesky.

He was promising at first and maybe suffered from a little bit too much too early, which might have proven to be detrimental. Completely different style of player and attributes to Moreno though, also Moreno has come with decent experience under his belt.

it would be great if our lads could have a end of season sports day.
            events could be;

            10m sprint
            30m sprint
            100m sprint

most powerful shot. five shots, then average.
most accurate shooting. some sort of targets in the goal. shoots from 25 yards.

this might need its own thread

he's ok. not much else really.
loves to get the ball and bomb forward. very rarely crosses the ball when running at pace. first he likes to stop, then take a few touches. he will then often play it back as the oppo defence have time to close down the forward pass option.
its very frustrating as we have seen him look excellent a few times but he seems to be more worried about keeping possession than releasing the ball early and keeping the attacking momentum going.

                  whats going on.

Think he's getting a bit of a hard press on here IMO.

Offers good width going forward, already scored a couple of goals for us (had an unfortunate one ruled out recently) and is part of a defence that isn't conceding goals. His final ball is lacking a bit at times, but I think he's doing alright for us and deserves his place in the side.

Difficult job he has, doing 2 jobs and we 1) don't get many/any players in the box and 2) he's aiming for midgets, crossing low is always more difficult, twice as many legs as there are heads to avoid.

Ibe, Markovic or whoever are never going to be a long-term solution in that position, so as long as he isn't doing much wrong we may as well continue Moreno's development there.

Think he's doing well and has some quality moments in pretty much every game, was his brilliant run yesterday that ended up with Ibe nearly scoring from 2 yards out. Was his excellent work that put Sterling through on goal v Bolton before that blind linesman ****ed us over, him to Lallana to Sterling for the one off the post. Him, Coutinho and Raheem for the opener v West Ham. Great save from Courtois stopped him scoring at Chelsea. Was him still going forward in the 110th minute v Chelsea that got the ball to Raheem who set up Hendo's sitter etc etc. And opposing players arent getting much out of him. Caught upfield on the odd occasion (though nowhere near as bad as the tedious two who hammer him all the time will have us believe) and a few dodgy decisions when stuck out wide but yesterday was what his 56th league start in his career, he's still a baby really and doing just fine.

I think he's done well enough for a 22 year-old during his first season in England, but I hope he'll show a bit more next year. Same goes for a few others, we've got an incredibly talented team right now and next year could be great if we manage to add two or three quality players with a bit more experience.

Yeah got me 9 points that, but Ibe didn't get a single MOTM(bonus) point. I mean WTF?
